OR TRY REMOVING SOME OF THE AESTHETIC MODS LISTED UNDER "REMOVABLE MODS" SECTION BELOW
(Be warned that removing mods connected to FTB Quests/Rewards may cause unexpected crashes)
THINGS THAT MAY CAUSE CRASHES
This is a small list of things that I cant fix at the moment, that may cause crashes. I will update it as I find new things or fix old things.
- Placing a SophisticatedBackpacks Backpack in one of the two "curio" slots. Only place it in your inventory or in the "back' curio slot.
- I use BSL & it works well with how I configured the pack. However, Some Shaders will cause client-side crashes.
INFORMAL/PERSONAL UPDATE JOURNAL
- 2/10/2021 The Beginning: At this point I had very limited knowledge of modded minecraft, no experience with Pixel art / Modelling / Java or Javascript but I knew one thing; I wanted to make a Modpack that I would enjoy over all others.
- 3/17/2021 Update: I've become obsessed with pixel art so expect some incredibly extensive resource updates!! AHHHH I'm so excited!!
- 4/18/2021 Update: Re-texturing a significant portion of the assets has been a long and hard journey... but I think it's starting to pay off! I couldn't be happier with how the menu and loading screens turned out!
- 4/19/2021 Update: I now plan to begin re-working world terrain generation, structure & cave generation, as well as adding a bunch of new baddies & improving loot tables, as some loot has been a tad too over-powered thus far. (Although maybe that's needed as many mobs are overpowered as well!)
- 4/24/2021 Update: A great many more texture updates (I'm still working on getting the sky compatible with shaders). Some new Baddies to fight (yes... more!!!). Updated Terrain/Structure Gen. Updated loot tables, and much, much more.
- 4/25/2021 Update: A few texture updates (Honestly my custom textures may not even be working right now for some reason). Readjusted loot tables / terrain / mob / structure generation (Again, lmao). Cleaned up some messy code that had no business being where it was, and finally, I was informed that my pack had a bunch of useless mods that I thought I removed, but apparently not. So yeah, that's fixed now.... I think...
- 4/25/2021 Update pt. 2: I'm going to be disabling some Structure/Mob/Loot gen in the future, I just need to play the game enough to figure out what needs to go!
- 5/5/2021 Update: CurseForge finally began approving my updates! Hopefully I can get the 5 or so data-packs I plan to have in the pack accepted as well!
- 5/6/2021 Update: Still a great many textures and GUIs to work on. I also plan to continue working on Project MMO integrations, as well as improving Structure Gen. Another thing I plan to work on, is balancing Ore gen frequency, as well as the Armor and Weapons that come of those ores. Balancing stuff like that is a lot harder than I ever imagined.
- 5/12/2021 Update: I've focused most of my time toward quest development. Next, I plan to focus most of my time toward Recipe development and refining Progression lines.
- 5/13/2021 Update: I've made another Project under the name of Machiavellian Madness [LITE]. Wherein I'm attempting to reduce the heft of the pack as much as I can, without negatively affecting the core gameplay / experience.
- 5/18/21 Update: Working on one of the largest updates to this pack, which will include quite a sizeable re-imagination of the 1.16.5 version.
- 5/30/21 Update: I've been learning how to do some really awesome stuff, such as making custom blocks, custom entity models, & custom armors, weapons, and tools. I'm so proud to be able to build models like this now, and I plan to make many more!
- 6/2/21 Update: Wow wow, has this been some ride. This pack is getting more love and attention [from both me and the community] than I ever thought it would! As of the time of writing this, I just released my new custom entity models [Blast-Golem], [TNT Creeper], [Tortured Phantom], [Exopthalmic Blaze], and finally, the dreaded [Conjoined Ender-Twin]. Time to start working on beautifying the world before I get back to making any more Mob models!
- 6/17/21 Update: Ive discovered the glory of copyright free music.. there is now "custom" music for the Main Menu, Specific actions (swimming, riding a horse, etc.) & Every Biome-type!!!
- 6/23/21 Update: I've begun studying code 24/7 in order to learn how to make my own mod. I want to make something small, but meaningful (Oh and mobs, I've always wanted to make mobs!)
- 7/14/21 Update: MANY MORE CUSTOM TEXTURES AND GUIs!!! I've started receiving some comprehensive feedback on the pack now, so many fixes are to come!
- 7/23/21 Update: So much has happened this past month, Ive gone from 800 total downloads, to OVER 2,500!!! Incredible! I owe some thanks to the streamers who started playing my pack [iProjectRaw, joolicious, and JoeFoxe] Not only that, but I got a partnership offer from BisectHosting just a few days ago!!! Machiavellian Madness has its own server now!!! I cannot express how overcome with joy I am that
- 7/25/21 Update: I finally feel confident in the stability of the Pack, which means that I don't expect any more updates to cause people to reset their world!!! As an avid builder in minecraft, it always killed me to upload updates that I knew would be incompatible with previous versions/worlds...
