What's new
LSTFC 0.5.9
Food and cooking
- Fixed food ingredient replacements that had reduced many TFC and Firmalife recipes to a single meat. Restored the native food predicates across 676 recipes, including nutrition, freshness checks and tool/container handling.
- Soups once again accept mixed fresh ingredients, including raw and cooked meat and fish. Normal pot cooking still uses three to five ingredients and water.
- Sandwich fillings now accept any fresh food, including meats, fish, vegetables, fruit, dairy and prepared meals.
- Added flexible sandwich recipes: two bread items or bread slices, a knife, and one to six fillings, arranged anywhere in a crafting grid. Bread varieties can be mixed. One filling fits in the inventory crafting grid; larger sandwiches need a crafting table.
- Sandwiches retain TFC nutrition and spoilage. The knife takes durability damage and is returned. Existing grain-specific sandwich recipes remain available.
Steel processing
- Removed the blue and red steel alloy-charge items and their crafting/mixing recipes.
- Removed charge-based Mekanism recipes for weak blue and weak red steel. These alloys are now produced in the Arc Furnace; their crucible and Wooden Cog alloying routes are removed. Melting and recasting already-produced alloy remain available.
Building and convenience
- Added Roads and Roofs TFC 1.0.4, including its TFC and ArborFirmaCraft wood variants.
- Added its required Block Runner dependency, using the existing Puzzles Lib installation.
- Regular and vertical Create gearboxes now convert both ways, one for one, in any crafting grid.
- Moved the Cold Sweat skull to the left of the hotbar. Its position stays fixed when using a thermometer; the numeric body-temperature readout is disabled. The experience bar remains enabled.
Quests and the Field Guide
- Added 47 optional quests across the existing 20 chapters: 320 quests in total.
- New branches cover roofs and roads, varied meals, metalworking, processing, storage, power, backpacks and workshop conveniences.
- Preserved chapter, task and XP reward IDs for retained quests. Existing completion and claimed XP remain intact.
- Removed “A batch for the press”. Age 9 quests have no dependencies and use a compact grid.
- Reorganized Age 1 into separate pottery and cooking branches; put kaolin clay beside graphite in Age 4.
- Bellows requires only Process hides. Find a resource deposit follows Build the drilling machine. Heat without another fire requires only Generate electricity.
- Reorganized the Mekanism chapter into nearby processing, power and equipment branches. Dress for the weather and the full climate upgrade sit beside the MekaSuit project. Removed redundant Mekanism dependency lines without changing prerequisite reachability.
- Updated the Field Guide's Sandwiches, Firepit and Pot, and Firmalife Bread entries to explain the pack's food recipes.
Additional recipe fixes
- Fixed Survivor's Delight's empty chocolate ingredient by pointing it to Firmalife's current chocolate-blend tag. Milk, dark and white chocolate blends work in its chocolate pie recipe.
- Added Create sawing: one TFC or ArborFirmaCraft lumber produces eight sticks.
- Added Deployer processing: one papyrus with a knife produces four papyrus strips. The knife takes one durability damage.
- Added Deployer gem cutting for all nine TFC gems: use TFC sandpaper on the raw gem. Sandpaper takes one durability damage.
- Removed ineffective salting combinations for 16 vanilla meat/fish items that have no TFC food component. TFC and compatible modded meats retain the native preservation recipe.
- Checked raw and cooked venison salting in the inventory and crafting table, including shift-clicking: the output retains the salted food trait. Salting does not change the meat's item name or texture. The reported venison failure was not reproduced in the updated pack.
CurseForge packaging correction
- Removed both bundled custom JARs (`lstfc-compat` and `lstfc-startup-fix`). The ZIP now uses CurseForge manifest downloads plus ordinary KubeJS scripts, data and configuration.
- Kept KubeJS Create. NeoForge load-order settings replace the former startup patch.
- Moved food matching, aircraft upgrade safety, healing, climate protection, server policies, menus and machine integration into mod APIs and scripts.
- Removed I Heart TFC, which was already disabled. The native numbered TFC health display and experience bar remain.
- All eight First Aid body parts recover within 60 seconds while sufficiently fed, alive and out of danger. Downed players are not revived by regeneration. Healing settings now live in `kubejs/config/lstfc-comfort.json`; RTP settings live in `kubejs/config/lstfc-rtp.json`.
Machine changes required by the removal
- Restored all 54 Rolling Mill recipes as real Create sequenced assemblies. KubeJS supplies the missing integration without a custom JAR. Original inputs, machine order, outputs and loop counts are preserved, including the precision mechanism's two laps and 95% success rate.
- Fixed the JEI error when viewing Rolling Mill assemblies, including precision mechanisms and rivets. All 54 sequence displays were checked by creating and drawing their JEI layouts.
- IE and Mekanism heaters can power Create steam boilers with the tank directly above the heater. For heated Create basins, use the existing Electroenergetics Resistive Heater; direct IE/Mekanism basin heating is no longer provided.
- Place electric blast-furnace heaters beside or below the furnace. Keep the normal chimney opening clear; the former top-mounted chimney bypass is gone.
- Optimal river water wheels still reach 6x capacity, now using the native 3x biome multiplier and 2x optimal-source multiplier. An optimal source outside a bonus biome gives 2x.
- Full-size windmills retain their 6x network capacity bonus. The bearing's base-capacity tooltip may still display the unmultiplied value.
- Mekanism Heat Generator heat-input settings are increased fivefold. Its native thermal-efficiency calculation applies, so electrical output is not an exact fivefold multiplier. Gas generation uses native fuel-energy data.
- Crucible item automation uses the scripted capability on every face except the bottom. Keep the supplied `crucibleEnableAutomation = false` setting: it disables TFC's conflicting sided handler, while the script supplies item access and retains the usual fluid directions.
