What's new

LSTFC 0.5.7 - Changes since 0.5.6

Added

- Mekanism Additions 10.7.19.85, matching the pack's Mekanism and Mekanism Generators versions.
- Electric heating support for the TFC Blast Furnace, Create Basins and Create boilers.

Metalworking and ore processing

- The Immersive Engineering Metal Press now turns one ingot into one sheet for all 26 supported metals, using the Plate Mold. Older conflicting press recipes have been removed.
- Added Energized Smelter recipes for 20 washed metal ore chunks from `#c:ores/chunks` into one matching ingot. Metal-specific subtags cover 16 chunk types across 12 metals, including the IE crossover ores and chromium. Works in Basic, Advanced, Elite and Ultimate Smelting Factories.
- Added High Carbon Black Steel → Black Steel through a Create sequence of five mechanical presses.
- Fixed the Arc Furnace Weak Steel recipe to use two Steel Ingots, one Black Bronze Ingot and one Nickel Ingot, producing four Weak Steel Ingots.
- Added Arc Furnace finishing recipes for Black, Red and Blue Steel. Each uses the corresponding weak alloy plus Pig Iron for Black Steel, or Black Steel for Red/Blue Steel.
- Added an Arc Furnace Weak Red Steel recipe.
- Added Mekanism Combiner routes for weak steel alloys and high-carbon steel alloys, followed by Enrichment Chamber refining into Black, Red and Blue Steel. Alloy charges preserve the additional metal ingredients; JEI shows their preparation recipes.
- Coal Coke now burns for six minutes in ordinary fuel-burning machines and TFC heating devices, longer than Bituminous Coal's four minutes. Coke blocks provide nine times that duration.

Additional balance changes

- Mekanism and Immersive Engineering Steel Blocks can now be swapped one-for-one with shapeless crafting, including in the inventory's 2×2 grid. Both conversion directions are available.
- Doubled the chance of getting Kaolinite Powder when heating Kaolin Clay from 20% to 40%. The required temperature remains 500°C.
- Added a simpler Graphite Electrode recipe: eight TFC Graphite Powder, four Coke Dust and 500 mB Creosote Oil in a heated Create Basin with a Mechanical Press produce one full-durability electrode. The original IE recipe remains available.

Powered heating

- IE External Heaters can heat the TFC Blast Furnace from any adjacent face, consuming 256 FE per tick. They heat it gradually to approximately 1,600°C.
- Mekanism Resistive Heaters can transfer stored heat to the TFC Blast Furnace from any adjacent face. Increase the heater's energy usage until it maintains the required temperature; its display uses Kelvin.
- The blast furnace still requires its normal chimney, inputs and flux. With a heater directly above the furnace, build the chimney above the heater; the molten charge will not replace the heater.
- Place an IE External Heater or Mekanism Resistive Heater directly below a Create Basin or boiler Fluid Tank to supply regular heat. Steam Engines use the resulting boiler heat.
- IE heating consumes 64 FE per tick per heated basin/tank. Mekanism transfers stored heat and requires at least 500°C for Create heating.
- These heaters provide normal heating, not superheating. Unpowered IE heaters stop supplying heat; Mekanism heaters can use their remaining stored heat while cooling.
- Added JEI information explaining heater placement and operation.

Fixes and recipe cleanup

- Fixed missing Andesite Alloy ingot-pile textures and assigned the alloy a consistent pile material.
- Fixed intermittent Wrought Iron pile textures. Set `inferredMetals = ["ingots/iron"]` in `config/tfc-server.toml`, with a compatibility fix that also makes the pile material deterministic on existing saves and during reloads.
- Replaced Minecraft Diamond ingredients with TFC Cut Diamonds, including recipes using the common diamond tag.
- Garden Cloche soil recipes now accept the pack's TFC dirt variants.
- Expanded TFC/AFC ingredient support for wooden components, chests, barrels, stone, gravel, sand, foods and metals.
- Converted remaining supported vanilla food and metal outputs to their TFC equivalents.
- Removed redundant vanilla equipment recipes, unused vanilla ore/raw-material processing branches and obsolete ingot conversion recipes. Functional vanilla items such as redstone components, glass, paper and decorative blocks remain available where the pack uses them.
- Quests are unchanged.
