The Overworld is gone! Start in The End & explore 9 dimensions.

Description

Welcome to Karlux, the modpack that removes The Overworld entirely. Yes, that's right. Since there is no overworld, you will have to start your journey in The End dimension. Don't worry though, as there are many mods here that have transformed The End from a dark, barren wasteland into a beautiful, diverse world teeming with life and diversity.

1.3 Update Showcase Video

As you explore through this alien world, you will come upon many new resources & items. If you go mining in The End, you are bound to find a strange, blue ore. Mining this ore will give you Rift Shards. These shards will allow you to craft the portals to all the other dimensions. This modpack has a set line of progression, and you will need to go to one dimension before being able to craft the portal to the next. Be sure to craft the Anchora Reditus, as returning from any dimension will take you directly to your spawnpoint. Check JEI for all recipes, which should guide you through most of the pack's progression.

Modpack Endgame:

The end goal of the modpack is to craft the Karlux Block. This powerful block is crafted from the essences of all 9 dimensions. The Karlux Block will allow you to craft creative items, which will allow you to make even bigger and better creations.

A decently rare structure can be found floating above the Nether Roof. Inside each of these floating remnants lies a single Primordial Pickaxe. This pickaxe is the fastest in the game, but only has 10 uses. Towards the endgame of the modpack, you can obtain an Eternal Stella from the Forbidden & Arcanus mod. Applying an Eternal Stella to a Primordial Pickaxe will make the pickaxe indestructible. This is also the way to get the best sword in the modpack, the Glass Sword.

The best armor sets are the Tyr Armor Set from Forbidden & Arcanus, and the Ignitium Armor Set from Cataclysm. Use Magic Mirrors to quickly switch between different armor sets and specialized hats that give useful effects including:
-Forgotten Hat - Increases reach distance
-Mining Helmet - This modpack's version of Optifine torches
-Create Goggles

Other useful things:
-Keybinds to hotbar swap
-Apply potion effects to swords with a keybind and a potion in the offhand
