What this modpack offers is ability to play vanilla with client side mods that will improve your game. Like press F7 to see where mobs can spawn; use mini-map to see and mark places you visited; your game will have higher frames per second thanks to sodium; your game is ready for shaders if you want to use them, just drop the shaders on shader folder.
Nothing that would affect you joining any 1.21.1 vanilla server.
