Ironbound is a Minecraft modpack designed to enhance the vanilla experience without losing what makes it feel like Minecraft. Its main features include expansive new biomes and structures to explore, powerful dragons to encounter or conquer, a fleshed-out magic system, and a wide variety of medieval-inspired weapons and gear.
The pack is built around the idea of “vanilla, but medieval.” As if the world of Minecraft had naturally evolved into a medieval era. While the world feels richer and more dangerous, everything is designed to blend seamlessly with the base game rather than replace it. Progression feels familiar, but each adventure offers something new, whether you’re delving into ancient ruins, mastering magic, or preparing to face mythical creatures.
Ironbound also comes with built-in multiplayer support (thanks to "Essential Mod"), allowing you to easily play with friends without needing a dedicated server. It includes many essential quality-of-life mods commonly found in modern modpacks, such as waystones for fast travel, mini and world maps for navigation, JEI for crafting guidance, and more. This makes exploration and progression smooth and accessible.
