In the vast darkness of space, systems of stars and planets remain separated by lightyears of void. Humanity remained stranded on our spec of sand in the metaphorical sea until the day known as "Ascension Day." Countless superpowers across the planet gathered as much aeronautic and scientific ingenuity as they could, and on this fateful day, humanity ascended beyond the sky, leaving behind it's sundered home-world.
Today marks humanity's 200th ascension anniversary, and the current year is 2398. In these two centuries that have passed, mankind has travelled far, discovered new elements, advanced in both technology and culture, and has fought and conquered not only each other, but the factions they met along the way as well. What? You didn't think we were alone, did you?
Welcome to Interstellar Horizons!
I'll cut to the chase. Interstellar Horizons is a mod-pack about space travel, exploration, technology, resource management & collection, and war! I mean come on, all this tech and you thought there wasn't gonna be any GUNS?
As stated in the prelude above, humanity has been amongst the stars for over two centuries, and it's comes down to you to help push the hand of fate on this galactic time clock now. Alongside your fellow players, it
s your job to secure yourself whatever you can scrounge together to make whatever you can call a "Home" and defend it from Monsters, Androids, Mutants, Extraterrestrial lifeforms, and even other players!
How do I do this?
Well it's rather simple! All you need to do is gather some friends and play some basic Minecraft! Simple, right? Well...
You'll also need to learn about and invest into different kinds of technology and equipment to help survive this hostile galaxy. After all, plasma weapons don't make themselves, and batteries are EXPENSIVE!
I should also mention that not everyone will have the same starting world. While it IS possible to start out back on Humanity's home-world, there comes the option to start on many beautiful and dangerous worlds. It's on these worlds that you will start your colonies, establish your factions, arm your soldiers, and build your first ships to sail the stars!
How do I join the server?
We're working on it, we promise. However it's gonna take some time, since mod-packs like this need a lot of balancing and nerfing in certain areas. So stay tuned, I'll keep you guys posted!
