Why get your hands dirty in the field, when you have the power of engineering on your side?

Description

Throw your hoe into the trash - You won't need it where we're going

Have you ever dreamt of producing enough crops to singlehandedly feed your whole server? Or maybe you just like watching item numbers go up? This is the perfect modpack for you.

Thanks to Create you'll be able to automate harvesting massive fields - No need to get your hands dirty.

Prefer a more hands-on approach? Automobility has you covered - Enjoy driving your tractor with a harvester attached.

Maybe you'd prefer to grow your crops in secret, but believe just plopping down a field inside a basement is too cheesy and not industrial enough? You'll love the garden cloches from Immersive Engineering - If you've got the power infrastructure necessary to support them, that is.

Of course, when competition appears, you need ways to deal with them. Trying to trample a 32x128 sized field would take somewhere between eternity and forever (especially considering trampling has been disabled alltogether), so you better look towards industrialization once more.

The chemical thrower and herbicide from Immersive Engineering will allow you to make quick work of any fields you come across.

Should you do the terrible mistake of allowing your enemies to develop their own technology, fear not, you're not defenseless. Thanks to Timeless and Classics Zero, along with some addons, you'll be able to defend your farm with a vast arsenal of firearms. After all, nothing solves a dispute faster than a .50 cal straight to the dome.

Don't want to deal with that personally either? Or are you struggling with bad aim? Perhaps Immersive Engineering has some automated solutions to the problem of unwanted visitors as well.

You may be worried "But once I establish a monopoly on farming, where will I store all the crops?" Fret not, Refined Storage will solve this problem in a compact way.

Of course, you also have things to do with your crops. Farmer's Delight along with numerous addons will make sure you never have to eat the same meal twice

This modpack also has a few things to offer outside of this whole agricultural fandango. None of the tech mods have been nerfed or changed in any way, so all their might is available to you.

Build an Immersive Engineering excavator and destabilize the mineral economy.

Create a massive drilling machine using Create (Ha, get it?) so that your competitor comes back to a hole all the way down to bedrock instead of a field.

Want some fancy armor to wear? Pointy and sharp objects to swing? Epic Knights, along with Simply Swords should provide enough of those.

Are you worried about performance? The numerous optimization mods will make sure the game runs as smooth as butter.

Want to drill for oil? Go right ahead, you have Immersive Petroleum at your disposal.

Or maybe you wish to dabble in the arcane arts? Ars Nouveau has got you covered. Perhaps it can even help you with your farm.

Do you enjoy making things pretty? Chipped, along with an assortment of Macaw's mods will allow the builders to have fun with this modpack as well.

The Ugly Truth

Did you enjoy my PR talk? Great. Now let's talk facts.
The truth is, I think I spent more effort on this description than the modpack itself. Don't get me wrong, it works, I even added compatibility mods wherever I could to make everything fit together more nicely, but it's not really some high quality modpack. I believe at least some key conflicts should be fixed by default, but I still suggest you look through the controls tab if you see any weird behavior. Note that some conflicts are harmless, such as B being used for both the backpack, and waypoints on the fullscreen map.
Why did I decide to make and publish this pack? I wanted a more cozy environment to teach my girlfriend modded minecraft, including tech mods, that's why this modpack is a bit kitchen-sink-ish with how it has a bit of everything. Since she's coming from Stardew Valley, I wanted to put some emphasis on the farming/cooking aspect of Minecraft as well. I figured that shoving her into some GregTech based pack as a first introduction to tech would not end well, that's why the tech mods available here are relatively simple and don't alter vanilla much (besides some additional ores).
The reason I published it, is that I believe I did an ok-ish job at picking mods that a newbie to modding could grasp with a bit of guidance. Even if playing solo, both Create and Immersive Engineering have in-game guides (in the form of the ponder feature and the engineer's manual) which should help clear things up.
Maybe this modpack will be of use to someone else who wants to show a noob how modded minecraft works.

Feedback is very welcome. I don't promise I'll fulfill all requests because, truth be told, I'm simply lazy, but it's worth shooting your shot. Maybe I'll like your suggestion and add it.
I have been thinking of adding quests as an additional guide, but I see no real point to spend time on that if the modpack will end up with 8 downloads over the course of a month. If I see some actual interest in it, and people ask nicely, I might look into such quest system.
