Brace yourself for an even harsher survival experience where every choice matters. This alternate version introduces a suite of extra difficulties that push your skills to the limit:

New Extreme Difficulties

Hardcore Progression: Experience a steep, unforgiving advancement curve.
Enhanced Mobs: Face smarter, stronger vanilla mobs that evolve over time.
Water Hazards: Beware of piranhas and swimming creepers lurking near water.
Cave-Only Ores: With ores mostly hidden in caves, strip mining is out.
Harsh Air Conditions: Extreme temperatures and unstable air demand respirators.
First Aid Overhaul: Standard healing is overhauled—treat wounds with bandages and proper care, or risk fatal damage to vital body parts.
Fungal Spore Nightmare Addon: Spore mobs now inflict even deadlier effects on the unwary.
Food Spoilage: Manage perishable food that spoils quickly.
Deceptive Doppelgangers: Encounter fake neutral mobs that add an extra twist.
Strict Bed Rules: Beds can only be used in proper, enclosed structures with a minimum size and lighting requirements.
Relentless Hordes: Endure a horde on day one and every 10th day, testing your defenses to the extreme.
Temperature Perils: Monitor your body temperature closely—too hot or too cold can be fatal.
Hardcore Darkness & Grue: In total darkness, the lurking Grue awaits, making realistic, time-limited torches a necessity.

Gathering the Basics
- Collecting Sticks: Start by mining leaves. Although the chance is low, repeated efforts will yield a few sticks essential for early crafting.
- Obtaining Raw Flint: Mine gravel to extract raw flint. Your initial stock may be small, so be patient and gather multiple batches.
Refining Your Materials
- Processing Flint: Use raw flint on stone—this process has a low success rate, but eventually, you'll produce a useful piece of flint. Alternatively, you might acquire flint shards which can be recombined into gravel. Repeat the process until you secure enough flint for your tools.
Crafting Your First Tools
- Flint Knife: With your flint, craft a flint knife. This tool is critical for harvesting grass, which drops plant fiber.
- Gathering Plant Fiber: Use the flint knife on grass to collect plant fiber—a vital resource for crafting fibre rope.
- Fibre Rope: Combine the harvested plant fiber with a stick to craft fibre rope.
Upgrading Your Toolset
- Flint Axe: Using fibre rope, a stick, and your flint, craft a flint axe. This tool is more efficient for chopping trees than the flint knife.
- Harvesting Wood: Use the flint axe to mine a tree, obtaining logs. Convert these logs into planks.
- Converting Planks to Wood Blocks:
  - Place the planks in your off-hand (shield slot) and wield the flint knife in your main hand.
  - Right-click to convert the planks into blocks of wood.
- Crafting Your First Crafting Table: Use the planks to construct a crafting table, setting up your base for further tool creation.
Creating Advanced Materials
- Crafting a Fiber Pile: In the crafting table, combine plant fiber to create a pile of fiber.
- Igniting a Flame: Place the fiber pile on the ground. Using a stick, right-click repeatedly until it ignites into a small flame.
- Processing Tough Wood: Once you have a flame, right-click a block of wood to transform it into tougher blocks—essential for building more durable tools and structures.
Tool Progression and Resource Gathering
- Craft Wooden Tools: With the tough blocks of wood, craft your first set of wooden tools to further ease resource collection.
- Advance to Stone Tools: Upgrade from wooden tools to stone tools. Note that progression here is unique: stone tools won’t allow you to mine iron, and iron tools won’t break diamond.
- Transition to Copper Tools: Once stone tools are established, mine for copper and craft copper tools.
- Mine for Iron and Nickel: Upgrade further by gathering iron and nickel. Use these metals, along with copper, to craft Cupronium tools—a crucial upgrade for accessing higher-tier resources.
- Crafting Diamond Tools: With Cupronium tools, mine for diamonds. Diamonds serve as a stepping stone to your next material.
