v2.0 - Revision & Refresh

Hey everyone, v2.0 is now here! This is a pretty big update this time around, and I’ll be adding more things but also removing some things too.
In the previous versions, the modpack felt too easy having mobs drop resources. You never had to worry about running out of iron for example because every mob you defeat would drop iron nuggets. This update plans to balance out some of the changes and make the modpack feel more challenging.

Additions:

  • Added Improved Mobs. The more you play in a world, the higher the difficulty will rise, this will get pretty challenging later on. Additionally, mobs can spawn with modded equipment.
  • Added Aquamirae. Adds new content to frozen oceans. A pretty solid mod I’ve played with before.
  • Added Guard Villagers. Villagers can now spawn as guards and help defend the village alongside iron golems. Additionally, cleric villagers will heal injured guards and villagers and blacksmiths will repair iron golems.
  • Added Alex’s Caves. Solve a puzzle with cave tablets and craft a codex and a map to find these new awesome caves.
  • Added Born in Chaos. Like the name of the mod suggests, this brings more chaos into your world by adding new hostile mobs to worry about.
  • Added Improved Village Placement. Tired of villages generating on the side of mountains or roads having steep cliffs? This mod aims to fix that by forcing villages to spawn on flatter terrain.
  • Added some backport mods that bring back newer features from newer versions of Minecraft, like the happy ghast, pale garden, and even the trial chambers.
  • Added Cave Spelunking. Ores will now generate more frequently exposed to air, meaning that more ores can be found in caves, making strip mining less effective. Don’t feel comfortable though, because hostile mobs can make getting ores a challenge!
  • Added Healing Campfire. Being by a campfire will now apply regeneration to all players and passive mobs nearby.

Changes:

  • Increased the Passive Skill Tree level cap from 150 to 300. I think after this, I’m done messing with the level cap, NOBODY is reaching max level because of how much experience you’re going to need per level.
  • Removed Combat Craft. This made getting ores, especially netherite, way too easy to obtain. Mobs will now no longer drop ores when defeated.

With all these new mods, I encourage you to create a new world so you can experience these changes. I plan to still update this pack further, so I lied about this modpack being done...
