Changed:

  • Now using Forge 47.2 since it's 1:1 compatible with NeoForge
    • You can stick with Neo if you want, I'm moving to Forge so CurseForge will freaking accept my files once we're out of beta 🙄
    • NeoForge clients can still connect to the server if it's on Forge, and vice-versa. They truly are 100% intercompatible in 1.20.1
  • Eidolon's Crucible is now turn-based (courtesy of yours truly)
    • Once you complete an entire step, you can take a break and refer to the recipe, grab items you forget, etc..
    • If you leave a step uncomplete, it will still expire (i.e. fizzle out & evaporate) in the same window of time.
  • General Mekanism playability changes (since Mekanism is intended to be the end-game goal of the pack):
    • Digital Miner filters can now be dragged from JEI
    • Digital Miner now has a max range of 192 (32 was the default)
    • Radiation is entirely disabled
    • Reactors will no longer melt down

Fixed:

  • Firework Rockets for Flight sometimes crafting rockets with no duration
    • How the f**k does this even happen? Apparently this is because of Vanilla, which relies on load order to ensure the flight duration recipe gets loaded after the no-flight-duration one.
    • I was able to repro this with just Forge, so something in Forge likely optimizes the load order of all recipes because Modded can have so many recipes
    • Fixed by removing aesthetic Rocket & Charge recipes - no more creeper rockets for you. These were also used by basically no one?? (Sorry Ellpeck, I'm sure AA had the Firework Box for some reason...)
  • Tooltip script throwing errors on world load sometimes
  • Inventory Profiles will no longer try to sort Backpacks that don't have a stack upgrade in them
    • Those with stack upgrades in them were already being skipped
  • Unassembled PCBs from PnC can now be used as a "Backplane" in the IE Circuit Table - the tooltip for the Backplane slot has been adjusted accordingly.
  • JEI buttons looking a bit off
  • Dense & Normal ME Wire Coils not matching the general theme

⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️

This update has two potentially breaking changes. Before proceeding, if you choose not to read further, at the very least make a world backup before updating in case you lose everything (because that's actually possible with this update. Two factors cause the one-time instability in this update:

Iron Chests: Restocked

This mod has been removed in this update. v1.0.0-BETA9 talks all about this and how you can migrate to Expanded Storage without having to re-craft anything or even move your items manually! It's all automatically handled so please go read that changelog if you haven't already.

Tectonic/Lithostiched

Tectonic has now recommended adding the "Lithostitched" mod, which allows for more refined control over biome modifiers, surface rules & temperature overall. This allows Tectonic to reduce the amount of inappropriately placed snow, which I want, so I added this mod. Like any mod that modified world gen at a low level, there's a chance this will bring about unsavory visible chunk borders that cannot be fixed in any other way aside from not updating to this version or not using Lithostitched at all. I have tested locally and have not been able to find any cases of large chunk borders/walls in my testing world of 4 months, but YMMV.

  • Gravitite tools no longer have the block/entity yeeting property. When hitting a mob, you'll no longer throw them into the sky, and when right-clicking any block you'll no longer send it floating into the sky.

    • Due to a large number of minor gripes I've had with this mod, I'm glad to replace it with Expanded Storage now that the dev of said mod has stated they'll no longer be unpublishing the mod - it truly is a superior mod. Right now you'll get a chat message letting you know that next update Iron Chests be going away and that if you right-click any "Iron Chests" chest, it'll automatically convert & move your items over :)
