Description
Harbour & Hearth is a curated survival modpack centred around Create, Minecolonies and general Exploration, designed to deliver a grounded and intentional progression experience without unnecessary bloat.
This pack focuses on three core pillars:
- Engineering - Build mechanical systems using Create’s rotational power, automation, and logistics
- Exploration - Venture across a world enhanced with new terrain and structures
- Colony Building - Establish and grow a living settlement using MineColonies
Rather than overwhelming players with hundreds of disconnected mods, Harbour & Hearth is designed with cohesion and balance in mind, ensuring that each system has a purpose and integrates naturally into gameplay.
Current Beta State (0.5.0)
This version is an early beta release.
- Core mod selection and pack direction are established
- Stability and general gameplay are being actively tested
- Custom scripting is minimal at this stage
Active Changes:
- Elytra has been removed from End Ship loot tables to support long-term progression balance
More scripted progression, gating, and integration between mods are planned for future updates.
Planned Direction
Harbour & Hearth is being developed with a clear long-term vision:
- Progression-driven automation (no early-game shortcuts or overpowered skips)
- Meaningful integration between Create and other systems
- Structured but flexible gameplay (guidance without forced linearity)
- Balanced exploration rewards tied into progression
Future updates will introduce:
- Custom recipes and automation paths
- Progression gating for advanced technologies
- Improved integration with MineColonies and other systems
- Additional balancing and performance optimisation
- A specially curated questing system designed to giude you rather than hold your your hand
Design Philosophy
This pack is built around a simple idea:
Every system should have a reason to exist.
There is no filler, no redundant mechanics, and no artificial complexity.
If something is included, it is there to serve gameplay, not inflate mod count.
Important Notes
- This is a beta version so expect changes, balancing adjustments, and potential issues
- Worlds created in beta may not be fully compatible with future versions
- Feedback is highly encouraged to help shape the final release
