Description
Explore a Minecraft world influenced by old-school fantasy RPGs crossed with steam- or dieselpunk sentiments toward industry. Gunsmiths & Grimoires is a modpack with an emphasis on magic, low-tech multiblock industry, black powder firearms, dungeons, other dimensions, and all kinds of supernatural and fantastical creatures to fill them.
Play alone or with friends; take sides and fight for magic -- or against it!
Gunsmiths & Grimoires features:
- Black powder pistols, muskets, and even artillery cannons!
- Multiple forms of magic, both offensive and otherwise, and an expanded enchanting system!
- An expanded inventory of setting-specific weapons and armor to find, craft, and use!
- Altered early progression -- no more tree-punching, make tools from flint first!
- Torches, lanterns and campfires that burn out -- and both magical and mundane alternatives!
- Several new biomes, dozens of new randomly generated dungeons and at least two new dimensions to discover!
- Dragons and other fantasy creatures, in addition to dozens of new mundane mobs and a host of new loot items to take advantage of!
- Mobs no longer burn in sunlight, too -- be ready for a more hostile world!
- Strong bosses to conquer in dungeons and powerful items to be won!
- No minimap by default -- use chalk to navigate caves!
- Environmental ambience and dynamic lights to enhance cave exploration!
- Temperature matters -- insulate yourself against both heat and cold!
- Beer!
- Completely reworked ore generation -- deeper is better, just don't dig too deep!
- There's a small chance to find big deposits down there, too!
- Twice as many raw ore types to process! Aluminum, zinc, nickel, silver, lead, uranium . . .
- Extended ore processing -- use impressive multiblock structures to take ore from raw chunks to dust and nuggets!
- New methods of tool and item creation, from multi-block smelteries to dragon-powered forges!
- Pollution! Torches, furnaces, mobs, factories -- they'll all produce dangerous carbon, sulfur, and dust. (Be careful, some of these may be volatile!)
- Hundreds of new items, tools and armors to craft and utilize, including medieval weapons and armor!
- Numerous quality of life changes, fixes, and performance optimizations!
- Better explosions, better block placement, better storage, and so many other improvements!
