v2.5.0 (May 16, 2026): Stronger; Smarter.
ALERT: Starting a new world is strongly recommended. Old worlds will still function, but worldgen changes WILL make existing worlds look UGLY!!!!!
Major Additions
v2.5.0 adds several new major gameplay systems that meaningfully change combat, exploration, and encounter pacing.
Smarter miniboss combat: ANARCHY Minibosses has been heavily reworked with input-based AI, new Domain spells for the Forsaken Magus, and new disposition and patience systems. Minibosses should feel more dynamic by committing to actions and punishing careless play. Meanwhile, a few of them should feel less unfair to play against. For example, the Fire Mage will now never shoot and move backwards at the same time, turning to run away when you are too close, and requiring at least a moment while stationary to shoot fire projectiles.
Harder, Better, Faster, StrongerNew soul-based class fantasy: Soulwarden joins RPG Series Plus as a soul-powered spellcaster with hybrid melee options.
You can redeem them, or you can damn them. Either way, they come to you expecting releaseQuick-use combat potions: Diabolical Potions adds craftable tinctures and a dedicated quick-use potion system.
My potions are too strong for you, travellerGuardian boss encounters: Trial Guardians adds trial-style boss encounters to the world.
My captors, trapped in prisons of their own making, wait to be uncoveredNew ambient hostile ecosystem: DECI-lib now supports Trial Guardians and future content while also adding several custom ambient hostile mobs. They are part of a broader shift toward more varied, reactive overworld danger.
Misguided Miscreants and Evanescent EncountersExtraction and defense gameplay: Ommoran Extraction: Gem Defense introduces gem-based extraction and defense content, adding a new side content for people who want to farm resources through combat.
No need for a drill - not yet, anyways
Goals:
- Expand RPG Series Plus content.
- Replace several underperforming content mods.
- Lay groundwork for potion and soul-based combat systems.
- Integrate legacy Ruthless Frontiers content.
Planned:
- Quests are intentionally untouched for now. Quests will be meaningfully shifted next major update.
New Mods
- Soulwarden (RPG Series Plus): adds a soul-powered spellcaster role with hybrid melee options.
- Diabolical Potions: adds craftable potions and a quick-use potion system.
- Trial Guardians: adds trial-style guardian boss encounters to the world.
- Ommoran Extraction: Gem Defense: adds gem-based extraction and defense content.
- Fog: adds dynamic atmospheric fog rendering.
- DECI-lib: library for Four Guardians and future content. Also adds several new ambient custom hostile mobs. This is a bigger game changer than you think.
Removed Mods
- Eternal Starlight: removed due to bugs and non-relevant content.
- Explorify: removed to reduce structure bloat.
- Knight Quest: removed because its content was not compelling for this modpack.
- Philips Ruins: removed because its structures were not compelling for this modpack.
- Spawncap Control Utility: removed because increased mob variety means fewer mobs need to be thrown at players.
- Fast Noise: removed after proving catastrophic for performance and stability.

Config & Balance Changes
- ANARCHY Minibosses: miniboss encounter rules updated to server config v8.

spawn_farm_tag.zip) to tag valid spawn farm locations. Players now spawn at farms rather than at the beach. Goodbye, crabs!
