GoMoFied? The hell is that?
GoMoFied is my second ever struggle in trying to convey what a modpack should be for the people who got sick of repetitive recipes and gameplay over the span of years. Drawing inspiration from my favourite modpacks (Listed below), the main point is to combine very different systems and dynamics of various adventure and tech mods such as Create, Cataclysm, Mekanism, Industrial Foregoing, Powah and so on; eliminating the one trick pony gameplay for crafting, energy generation, agriculture and such.
Features
SURVIVAL - Basic tech and magic is not the only hustle of this pack. Stub your toe? Monsters are after you. Survive for 3 to 5 business days? Hordes are after you. Bullied a brainless Zombie? Maggots are after you. Courtesy of Born In Chaos, Zombie Awareness and The Hordes.
INTERTWINED TECH - Tech progression is no longer linear. Crafting table and Energizing are no longer enough to progress with Powah; or Dissolution Chamber for Industrial Foregoing; or Mechanical Infuser for starting up with Mekanism. Get ready to use your Day 1 setups all the way to the end.
CUSTOM CRAFTS AND MACHINES - Game is every changing, so will be the recipes. You hate the beauties that are Create and Pneumatic Craft because you are too lazy to learn rotational systems and pressure tech? Too bad, those are our foundations.
WORLD GEN AND BOSS CHALLENGES - From Undergarden to Eternal Starlight to Cataclysm to Bosses'Rise to BOP; world is vibrant and occupied. Get yourselves a compass or you will get lost easily.
Warnings and Disclaimers
- Pack is still under heavy development; expect bugs, crashes, drastic changes and hotfixes.
- Do not randomly update the mods; newer versions may break things or may be incompatible with other mods; pack is quite large.
- Pack Contains Distant Horizons and C2ME. Both of these mods are notoriously resource hungry and may cause crashes on lower end computers and servers; disable when needed. (Albeit DH's pregen works wonders since the world is so populated; you may just turn off Horizon render and use it as a chunk pregenerator.)
- Some of the difficulties within the pack arise from config changes; edit these to your liking accordingly.
Permissions
Do not redistribute or reupload as it is. Feel free to use the scripts to your liking in your own custom project.
