GENESIS 1.2 - BITS N' PIECES:

Been a while, hasn't it? Bits n' Pieces doesn't really focus on a specific theme, rather it's focus is on touching up random areas of the game.

Many additions have been made to enhance the overall immersion & add some extra gameplay value. This update also serves as a sort of Difficulty Increase if that makes any sense.

But you probably don't care about any of this, Happy New Year and lets get to what's changed!

Annual Reminder to BACKUP YOUR DAMN WORLD(s) before updating.

MAJOR CHANGES:

Removed Sharpness & Protection Enchantments:

- Sharpness & Protection have been removed simply because they render their alternative versions pointless, due to them largely outclassing them. Ensorcellation adds several new Sharpness types & even Magic Protection. So now it's wise to mix and match different protection types depending on what you wanna do most.

- What happens to already existing gear that has these enchantments? They should stay and not be removed.

Anvil, Repairing & Mending Changes:

Mending has been reverted back to it's Vanilla version, and can no longer be sold by Villagers. Your best bet to reliably find Mending is in Ancient Cities.

Anvils have been changed to no longer have the "Too Expensive" limit when repairing your items. This should make repairing items without Mending more reliable.

Stuff such as Netherite, Paragon & other items have had their repair materials changed to be easier to repair.

Durability & Progression Changes:

Stone Tools have been rebranded to Copper Tools, this serves as a way to make Wood tools not last less than 30 seconds. As such, Copper can now be Mined with Wood Tools (Advancements have been edited to reflect this change).

Copper-Gold-Iron Tools have had their durabilites significantly increased and are more reliable to use without needing to repair.

Copper -> 254, Iron -> 511, Gold -> 127, Armor has not been affected.

Alex's Mobs & Overworld Generation Changes:

- Alex's Mobs has been added purely because of the nifty items & animals it adds to each dimension, there's even a new Boss! Advancements have been edited to hopefully guide you in what's interesting.

- The Overworld has recieved a makeover, whether it be coral reefs being more interesting, or even that cliffs are a marvel to look at now, you probably won't get nearly as bored travelling around as before.

- Caves have been overhauled to be miles more claustrophobic than 1.18's cave generation. This may be pretty controversial, if you dislike this change specifically, feel free to remove WF's Cave Overhaul from your instance. But at the very least give it a try, as I've had fun crawling around and getting lost in there.

- New Structures have been added, such as Campsites or even Exotic Tents. You might find a small one underground if you have a good eye...

- Strongholds & Skeleton Dungeons have had their look changed from Stone to Deepslate.

- Ancient Cities now have more Ebony wood blocks in them.

- Witch Huts are made from Azalea & Willow.

- Desert Temples are made from Arid Sandstone & Yucca Wood.

- Deserts now have stripes of Sandstone & Limestone.

- Crystal Canyons now have a new Hostile Mob, The Crystalline Slime!

- Many new biomes have been added to both Overworld & Nether Dimensions, speaking of the Nether...

New Nether Content:

- New Biomes have been added such as the "Visceral Heap", "Erupting Inferno" & "Withered Abyss".

- The Visceral Heap is a biome made Entierly out of flesh, flesh blocks can be smelted back into Rotten Flesh, or can be crafted via rotten flesh, pair this with soul salt clumps and you have a great food source. Alongside this comes the nasty Jawbreaker, which is a hostile mob with erradic attack patterns, their teeth can be used for a special tool and even some building blocks.

- The Erupting Inferno is a biome made out of Brimstone & Prismatic Stone, and consists of tons of lava pools, which make the biome slightly less dangerous than the Basalt Deltas. Currently this biome doesn't have anything truly unique to it, but something will come.

- The Withered Abyss consists of Blackstone, Blackstone Silt & Obsidian, Wither Skeletons & Blackstone Dwarves can spawn here, venturing into this biome might prove useful for harvesting the Blackstone Bulbs, which drop Warp Dust. Particularly useful for anything teleportation related.

- In addition, a new rare item has been added to Treasure Bastions...

Waystones & Transportation:

- Waystones have been added as a brand new form of transportation, primarily via teleporting around large distances. This is by some merit, overpowered, so to counter this, waystones cannot be broken/crafted, you will just lose the waystone in the process. Waystones can be found randomly in the Wild, in Villages or at the top of Towers. Speaking of Towers, they can be found everywhere in the Overworld, and are a challenge to climb up, as a reward for if you do climb up them, you are guranteed a parachute and most likely some scrolls to teleport you back to the tower.

- To grant yourself reliable teleportation, you should craft Warp Plates, which require Myalite, Warp Dust & Obsidian, they come in pairs and when one is placed, you are granted an Attuned Shard for that Warp Plate, placing said shard in the other Plate will let you teleport from one plate to another, just dont break the Plates or the Shards will lose their attunement.

- Warp Stones can be Forged via the Forge, Requiring Amethyst, Warp Dust, a Fire Ruby & an Ender Pearl. They have a 60 Second Cooldown

- Crafting recipes for Rails & Powered rails have been changed to give way more than what Vanilla offers. In addition, Elytras have been nerfed to only work in the End Dimension (Subject to change).

Exploration & Combat:

- Atlases are a Minimap like item, crafted from a Filled Map, Slimeballs & Books. They work in a similar fashion to Maps in general, and can be used in a Cartography Table to expand it's canvas.

- Desert Temples now have a unique item in them, where it spawns is for you to discover.

- 2 New Cave biomes have been Added, The Spider Nest & The Glowing Grotto, Spider Nests are filled with cobwebs and Spider Eggs, make sure not to step on them. Glowing Grottos

- Vexes can rarely spawn holding a Spell Blade, if they drop it, the weapon acts as a more durable and speedier iron sword, with the benefit of converting the damage it deals into Magic Damage, can be upgraded into it's Haunted Counterpart.

- Many Armor Sets have been given Full Set bonuses, Leather gives Speed, Chainmail gives Energized, Sterling gives Clarity, Haunted gives Slowness + Magic Proficiency, Netherite gives Fire Resistance 1 when 2 pieces are worn, and Fire Resistance 2 when the full set is worn, Shrieking gives Strength 2 & Glowing.

- The difference between Fire resistance 1 & 2 is that Fire Res. 1 can't protect against Lava damage, this makes netherite armor perfect for traversing around in the nether.

- 2 New Armor sets have been added, Haunted & Shrieking:

- Haunted serves as a "Diamond Alternative", moreso focused on how heavy the metal used is, not to mention it pairs well with Spell Blades. Can be obtasined via upgrading Iron.

- Shrieking can be ""Upgraded"" from Haunted in the Smithing Table, this armor set serves as a Glass Cannon in that you deal big hits while taking big hits. Shrieking Weapons can be rarely found in Ancient Cities aswell.

- Finding biomes may be pretty difficult now, so there's a Mid-Late game solution for that! The Paragon Compass! Forged form every overworld gem & a Magnetic Compass, the Paragon Compass helps you in finding any biome you wish with a simple right click.

More In-Game documentation:

Some items now have more information about them when pressing U or R, simply navigate to the Book and Quill icon to learn more (if there is more to learn about said item that isn't explained in Advancements, Tooltips or Tips in general)
