A small to medium sized modpack for Geebo's Medieval SMP server. Contains lots of mods with frequent additions. Some of the mods include:
Resources and Shaders:
Motschen’s Better Leaves
Improves the look of leaves by adding leaf protrusions from each block.
Excalibur
Medieval texture pack.
Enhanced Boss Bars
A mod for better boss bars for the bosses from Cataclysm.
Dynamic Surroundings
Adds ambient noises such as chirping birds in forests and crashing waves near shores.
MakeUp Ultra Fast Shaders
A light weight shader for better lighting with a very small hit to performance.
Complementary Unbound
My recommended shader for this server.
Bliss Shaders
An alternative shader if you like it better.
Overhauls:
Full Suite of Yung’s Better Structures
All of the Yung’s Better mods to completely revamp vanilla structures such as the nether fortress, jungle temples, etc. It also adds some bridges and random small structures such as lamp posts.
Dynamic Trees
Allows trees to be cut down and fall over like they do in the real world, as well as add branches and so on. Due to some of the world generation mods, this mod does not work with some of the pregenerated trees.
DnT Ancient City Overhaul
Improves the way ancient cities are generated by adding new buildings etc.
Choice Theorem’s Overhauled Villages
Overhauls the way villages are generated and redesigns the buildings to better fit the medieval theme.
World Generation:
Tectonic
Improves terrain generation to make it more immersive and realistic.
Biomes O’ Plenty
Pairs with Tectonic to add more biome types with lots to explore.
Dungeons and Taverns
Generates explorable and lootable dungeons randomly across the world, as well as random taverns to stay the night in and get something to eat.
Medieval Buildings
Adds extra medieval themed structures around the world to loot and explore.
Farsight
Similar to the distant horizons mod, this mod will hypothetically store chunks that players have explored into the system cache, allowing them to see very far past the render distance into places they’ve explored before.
Combat and Armor:
Epic Knights
Adds a plethora of new medieval weapon types, as well as lots of beautiful medieval armor types from brigandine all the way to full platemail with many different helmet designs.
Better Combat
Generally improves the feel of combat in minecraft by adding new attack animations and movement patterns. Pretty light weight and only slightly changes vanilla combat.
New Bosses:
Ice and Fire
A mod that adds a boat load of new mob types from sea serpents and sirens, to cyclops and even tameable dragons.
L_Ender’s Cataclysm
Adds a ton of new bosses and structures they spawn in. These bosses are high risk and high reward, ultimately making the ender dragon a tutorial boss.
Other:
Small Ships
Small ships adds several new types of ships beyond the standard wooden row boats. It adds several variants of sail boats, providing accommodations for storage and several people in a single boat.
Presence Footsteps
A small mod that improves the sound that footsteps make on different surfaces.
MineColonies
A super expansive mod that allows players to create and manage their own towns and cities with NPCs to populate them. The mod allows you to build many different buildings to house NPC professions that can do anything from craft, to farm, to even defend your towns and cities.
Medieval Music
Another mod to add medieval music to the minecraft music playlist.
Immersive Weathering
Actively weathers some blocks depending on their exposure to the elements.
Falling Leaves
Adds falling leaf particle effects under trees.
Delayed Thunder
Improves the sound of thunder to be more realistic and delay depending on your distance from the strike.
Constant Music
A simple mod to ensure that the medieval music is always playing in the background.
ETC
There are a handful of other aesthetic and api mods to improve performance, add compatibility, and tie the theme of the server together.
