Work your way up into Mekanism, IC2, and Thermal Dynamics to get some auto ore processing going. Explore some dungeons if you dare and get some loot to help you further along.
Keep grinding until you can build yourself a reactor from Extreme Reactors that you will need to generate a lot of energy later on. Finally forge even better tools from Draconic Evolution and Draconic Additions and fight their dragons.
