What's new
Friends United 2.6 — Update 0.0.9
Minecraft 26.1.2 · NeoForge 26.1.2.122 · Java 25
- Updated numerous mods with upstream crash fixes, performance improvements, storage fixes, and restored integrations.
- Added Friends United Compat 0.0.9.7, providing targeted compatibility, saving, recipe, and world-generation repairs. Removed obsolete workarounds now fixed by their respective developers.
- Added Regions Unexplored, Friendly Animals, and Eccentric Tome.
- Restored and adapted supported quest chapters: 249 quests across 9 chapters.
- Combined 22 supported guidebooks into the Friends United Field Guide and reduced duplicate starter books. Silent Gear’s consumable blueprint package remains separate.
- Improved placement checks for selected structures to reduce buildings generating over deep water with oversized foundations.
- Repaired affected village connectors, invalid dungeon height ranges, and decorative grass generation outside permitted boundaries.
- Improved chunk-saving safeguards, leftover villager POI recovery, and background path-worker shutdown. Enabled SmoothChunk’s corrected native POI repair while preserving partially generated chunks.
- Repaired missing recipes, refining chains, guidebook content, JEI interactions, and multiplayer recipe synchronization.
- Corrected XyCraft Kivi ore targets and Ender Zoology dire-wolf spawn categorization.
- Reduced ordinary modded ore generation attempts by 25% on average, with at least a 50% air-exposure discard chance, preserving stricter existing rules. Vanilla ores, copper, coal, giant vanilla veins, and decorative structure ores remain unchanged.
- Fixed the Upgraded Iron Chests search-field and sorting-button overlap.
- Removed redundant Jumpy Boats and enabled Vehicle Upgrade’s built-in water jumping.
- Removed Crop Critters and Stellarity. KubeJS and Rhino remain temporarily removed, with required script replacements handled by Friends United Compat.
- Suppressed Ender IO’s alpha chat notice. Voice chat remains enabled for multiplayer, with its local singleplayer server disabled.
Tested in singleplayer at 4 GB RAM and on a dedicated server with two simultaneous clients across 12 dimensions, including saving, restart, reconnect, inventory persistence, and mob spawning.
Back up existing worlds before updating. Ore and structure-placement changes apply to newly generated terrain; existing structures are not relocated.
