Originally started as a private pack to play with a couple of friends; Foundation: Vanilla has evolved into a carefully curated Vanilla+ pack. There are no traditional “tech” or “magic” mods; the bulk of this pack’s content comes from more general purpose mods such as Biomes O’ Plenty, Rustic, and Quark. The main goal of this pack is to provide a cohesive experience, to make it feel like Minecraft as it could be, rather than a random collection of mods. To that end, I have tweaked things heavily to remove as many redundant items and blocks as I could, there is not a mod in this pack that wasn't carefully looked over to make sure it fit the theme of the pack.

Foundation Vanilla is designed with beginners to modded minecraft in mind. There is no need to fiddle with key configs or graphical settings, everything has been set up to work right out of the gate. This should run on almost any computer, the requirement is that you are able to allocate at least 3 gigs of ram to the game (the amount that twitch instances default to). Still, Optifine is recommended for the performance boost, if you know how to use it. In the future, I plan to add tooltips instructing players of the way to use most items, to minimize the amount of research you need to do to understand how to use each mod.
