New modpack is out! PARANOID: Beyond Sanity
INTRO
There was once peace. All was peace and beauty. The land was full of life, until corruption erupted. Many entities eventually took over the world, and is now corrupted. The wildlife has now been disturbed. Structures are now ruined. Secrets remained sealed, unless you uncover them. Many entities are aware of your presence. Many will stalk you and attack when it's time. You search the land for safety. You search to defend yourself. Do you have what it takes to face the natures that horror now possesses? Or will you join the corruption? Will you survive long enough to find all the secrets? Then join in the forsaken world to find out what it's all about. The wilds may be forsaken, but you're not.
Forsaken Wilds is a handpicked horror modpack developed by Hexdar since April 11th, 2025. This modpack features over 350+ mods that set the scene and designed to keep you on edge and scare the hell out of you. There are dozens of biomes to explore. Many entities are waiting to hunt. Don't wait for too long, many things are to be discovered.

QUICK TIPS & NOTES BEFORE YOU CONTINUE
If the resource packs say it is incompatible with the current Minecraft version, you don't need to worry about it! Based on my testing, it seemed to work pretty well, even though it may differ. And yes, the packs are optional! If any issues occur while doing so, please let me know via Comments or join my Discord server.
When updating this modpack, check resource packs to ensure the ones you've applied aren't automatically disabled. Not sure what's causing it.
Another sidenote, given there are dozens of mods, first time playing this may be hard for some users since certain biomes can be difficult, entities can deal a lot of damage, especially without armor, and being in certain dimensions. Trust me, you'll get used to it!
Considering it is a large project, the game may lag due to a lot of mods working in the background and such. There will be a README file in the folder telling you how you could fix that, and if you have memory issues along the way. It's also best to have decent hardware. More about it below.
By the way, the new modpack is out! Check out There Was No Moon!
Known Issues & Warnings
Forsaken Wilds is still being tested to this day, so keep that in mind. Also, keep in mind that the mods in this modpack are in beta or alpha, so expect some issues. Here's what to expect:
- Structures may overlap or clip into each other, especially when two try to spawn near the same spot.
- There’s a chance of bunker flooding, especially in wetter biomes. No known fix yet, consider it an unintended feature... or a surprise pool. You may say it's a feature, not a bug. (you're welcome, i guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
- Depending on your PC hardware, you may experience choppy FPS. While I haven't yet figured out the issue, the solution is to lower the render distance for now.
- You might spawn smack in the middle of an ocean with no land nearby. If you prefer surviving on land rather than the ocean, consider creating a new world. A fix for that may be on the way.
- Some mods may intentionally crash or kick you from the world under certain conditions. This can usually be fixed with config changes, if you know what you're doing. In some updates, some mods may be replaced or downgraded to fix such crashes in Minecraft.
- Be aware of holes. Yes, there are holes in certain biomes that go straight down to the caves. I'm not sure why it happens, but just so you know. Watch where you step.
- The bonus chest (if enabled) may be hard to find depending on your starting biome. Sometimes it's hiding in a bush. Sometimes it's just being dramatic. (Where the freak is it again?!)
- The game would crash upon deaths. While I am unsure why, I do have a mod that prevents a ticking entity that caused a crash from ticking so it doesn't crash again. Which in this case, the mod thinks you're crashing the game, and kicks you out. (Neruina - Ticking Entity Fixer)
You've been warned, but hey! Mystery is part of the magic. Even if things don't work, it's an unintentional surprise! Give me feedback if the same issues continue several times.

Feedback & Suggestions
I'll appreciate your feedback! Whether you've found a bug, got a spooky idea, or just want to share how your adventure is going, I'm all ears.
Bug reports: Let me know about crashes, glitches, or weird mod behavior. Some mods cause intentional crashes for "protection" too, so keep that in mind.
Suggestions: Found a mod that fits the scene? Want more balance, more scares, or more realism? Hit me up! Though I won't be adding further mods that add more difficulty, since it's already hard for some people the way it is.
You can leave feedback in the Comments section on the modpack page.

This modpack is a living project, and your voice can help shape it. Don’t be shy. The wilds may be forsaken… but you're not.
You came here for answers. But this place only gives questions.
Safe travels, wanderer. Survive while you can.
Who is Hexdar?
Behind the strange ruins, haunted entities, and overgrown world of Forsaken Wilds stands the modpack's creator: Hexdar: Modder, explorer, and wielder of both music and mystery.
As a musician, Hexdar is also known across other platforms as IcyWinter. Hexdar was born from a shift in creative direction, a name that came naturally, like a voice from the void in my mind.
It started with the word "Hex", representing curses, code, and a touch of chaos. But with that name already tied to another digital character from Friday Night Funkin', a new suffix was added: "dar." No defined meaning. No clear origin. Just mysterious… and now, identity.
Today, Hexdar is more than just a name... it's a persona. (some say.)
Hexdar is a modpack developer and curator who crafts immersive experiences with deep atmosphere, unsettling tension, and an eye for detail. Someone who's spent years shaping worlds through command blocks, using mods, music, and storytelling, with a soft spot for the eerie and the unknown ever since childhood.
Also… an Android enjoyer.
More modpacks are in the works. More wilds to explore. More mysteries to be uncovered.
The only question is, will you make it out of them?
