Description
Forever is a modpack designed to maintain the sanctity of pure vanilla minecraft for playing on “forever” worlds.
The mods are mainly for basic optimizations, extending the vanilla render distance, and adding shaders; it does not provide the typical quality of life mods you might expect and this is fully intended. The only gripe is having to unbind the zoom feature provided by Essential mod.
The mods picked tend to be updated within a few days - sometimes even before - major minecraft update releases, which allows the world to be migrated as soon as possible.
The Essential mod helps host p2p servers to play with friends, it can be removed if you're playing on realms or dedicated servers.
The only two “cheats” included are litematica and freecam. This is to drastically lower the effort needed to build from a tutorial. Purists can debate me on this but this is functionally identical to following a block-by-block tutorial on YouTube. Freecam can then be used to check builds and debug redstone machines.
A tuned version of the entire pack is included by default (shaders, resourcepacks, datapacks, and options). Tweak them to your liking.
