What's new

* The Skeleton King encroaches more. It may seem small at first, but the Bone Stew that the Hirschgeist drops was actually the Skeleton King extending
out a...favor of sorts. See, the Skeleton King can be seen as the grim reaper of this world, one of the many direct but yet perhaps the most powerful
connection between the realm of the living and dead. It should come as no surprise that all of the undead that you fight now are by the hands of the Skeleton
King reanimating those who fell to the dragons in the past. Well...maybe aside from the Thralls. While I'm sure he had a hand in that no doubt, the
Hierophant is wrapped in as much mystery as he has power. That's an issue for another day. See, the Skeleton King took notice of the Hirschgeist and gave it
a gift, that of which it accepted...though I'm not really sure how it can actually eat? Maybe it has like ghost guts or some shit? Anyways, any and all
beings that drop Shards of Reminiscence are constantly being watched over by the King himself. In a similar fashion however, he can also grant those he
favors gifts meaning that shards aren't exactly indicative of his presence. At the same time, he is both everywhere and nowhere all at once, and may have a
greater influence on the current world than you may initially think. Makes you wonder how Stage 5 dragons can be more powerful than him, some things in life
grow more powerful than "Death" itself.
- - The Skeleton King's max health has increased from 425 to 430.
- - The Skeleton King's attack strength has increased from 31 to 32.
- - The Skeleton King's sand tomb cooldown has decreased from 10 to 8.
- - The Skeleton King's sand wraith cooldown has decreased from 16 to 14.
- - The attack strength of Forsaken has increased from 10 to 12.
- - The attack strength of Unburied has increased from 3 to 5.
- - The Skeleton King takes pity on you. The cooldown of summoning Unburied has increased from 16 to 20.
- - The amount of Forsaken summoned per cast has increased from 4 to 5.
- - The Skeleton King's wrath projectile strength has increased from 11 to 11.5.
- - Changed the Skeleton King's Boss List text from "Kill the Skeleton King, summoned by a cursed King's Crown and skeleton skull in the desert. The Skeleton
King is one of the strongest bosses, be sufficiently prepared." to "Spar with the Skeleton King, summoned by a cursed King's Crown and skeleton skull in the
desert. The Skeleton King is one of the strongest bosses, be sufficiently prepared. He never truly dies."
- idontlikeitinhere.mp3 renamed itself to windnetheridontlikeitinhere.mp3.
- The abandoned cities of the Nether were once much greater than they are today. Upholding humanity in their last days, these cities tell a story of utter
desperation, and the lack of anything meaningful found within them reflects that more so. When humanity was forced out, they took nearly everything with
them. What a foolish choice that was. The cities have begun to wither away, parts of them crumbling and falling into the lava below, reducing their grid size
back to 80 from 100.
- The attack strength of OsVermis Spiritus has increased from 16 to 17.
- The max health of OsVermis Spiritus has increased from 54 to 55.
- Added "I'm...not sure what or who this thing is." to the Hierophant's Boss List book text.
- Added "Unless you want to be a statue, wear a blindfold around them." to the Gorgon's Boss List book text.
- Added "Could be related to each other." to the Twilight Forest and Ice and Fire Hydra's Boss List book texts.
- Added "Their scales grant the best armor, though you shouldn't get up close to them." to the Ice and Fire Sea Serpent's Boss List book text.
- Added "Humanity's magic tampering gave way to their creation." to the Battletower Golem's Boss List book text.
- Added "She also failed her people, which is why Weeping Willows exist." to the Moon Queen's Boss List book text. When humanity sapped away magic from the
Aurorian, the bosses failed to stop the drainage at large, a good portion of the blame befalling the Moon Queen. Following her failure, she found reprieve
in trading with the denizens of the Twilight Forest, which lead to the Moon and Snow Queen gifting something to each other.
- Added "She's the reason you can't find urns underground in that dimension anymore." to the Spider Mother's Boss List book text. They used to spawn in the
Aurorian underground. Take a guess why they don't anymore.
- Added "A Twilight Wraith traded him some Moon Dials, which is required for the Twilight Forest portal." to the Runestone Dungeon Keeper's Boss List book
text, referencing that he's required for progression now.
- Added "He grew far more powerful than The Monarch anticipated, that's why you won't find any other Kobolds." to the Final Boss Kobold's Boss List book
text. All that ascension to power just to flail at you when you show up. Funny ass boss.
- Added "Poor sap doesn't even drop a boss trophy." to the Alpha Yeti's Boss List book text. Yes, I'm upset about that.
- Added "One of the few undead you'll find not touched by the hands of the Skeleton King." to the Knight Phantom's Boss List book text. Most undead you'll
find are directly caused by him, but the Twilight Forest does work in mysterious ways. The magic of this dimension lends itself to reanimating the dead on
occasion, which is how the Phantoms and Wraiths came to be.
- Added "A bizarre evolution of Mooshrooms caused by the environment they were brought to." to the Minoshroom's Boss List book text. The Monarch, the most
powerful being in the Twilight Forest, took fascination with the Overworld at times and brought home some Mooshrooms from an outing he had to a Mushroom
Island. Being warped by the strange new dimension they were now introduced to, over time, they became something entirely different. Think of it being like...
something akin to the Transformation Powder you can find. The Monarch unsure of what to do with these strange new creatures sealed them away in the
Labyrinths, though most are unsure if this was done out of pity or fear.
- Added "Not related to the Mowzie's Nagas." to the Twilight Forest Naga's Boss List book text.
- Added "how the hell did it get so big???" to the Ur-Ghast's Boss List book text. I dunno, you tell me?
- Added "The tridents they drop are interesting." to the Elder Guardian's Boss List book text.
- Added "I heard they're good for summoners!" to the Sludge/Amber Lord's Boss List book text. I don't talk about it really in the patch notes like ever, but
summoning is in fact a way to play the game! Though it lends itself more towards mid to late game to actually be useful and picks up crazy in the late game.
- Added "I heard they're found everywhere except the End, Nether, and Void." to the Cyclop's Boss List book text.
- Added "They keep their colonies alive and even carry ambrosia on them." to the Myrmex Queen's Boss List book text.
* Hey...speaking of...
- Myrmexs are scavengers. They go everywhere they possibly can and gather as much as they want. That's why both the loot in their dens and trades seem to be
completely random. Sapphires, seeds...chicken...there's a lot. The Myrmex Queens are at the forefront of this as they keep the colony alive and therefore,
they oversee a lot of these happenings. As such, they sometimes acquire ambrosia, mainly comprised from pixie dust meaning their colonies are actively
sneaking into Pixie Villages to steal these away from them. Try killing a Queen to get some, they can drop up to 3 and give A LOT of effects like Jump Boost,
Strength, and...Luck? That's a new one.
- Added a tutorial about interacting with every dimension except for the End at the end of the Task book.
- Kelp and Seagrass cause FPS drops in Twilight Lakes and can no longer spawn in them.
- Parasites are annoying. They'll be nerfed in the following ways;
- - Parasites no longer attach to targets meaning they won't stick to your face anymore.
- - The max health of Parasites has been reduced from 6 to 2.
- - The Infested amplifier has been disabled.
- - Parasites no longer attack everything.
- The Dreamcatcher has been disabled as it doesn't function due to the modded bed mechanics.
- Carminite Golems now drop up to 5 Carminite.
- Wind howls the Final Castle. Though not fully abandoned, it still pales in comparison to the days of its prime. You'd think this place would've fallen more
into ruin, but both the castle citizens and Final Boss Kobold did good upkeep in the wake of The Monarch's absence. Even though most fear the Kobold for
what it's capable of now, there's something a little charming to be found in the castle citizens finding a tiny bit of camaraderie with the Kobold through
keeping the castle mostly well kept. It's at least enough for the Giants to visit, so there's some positive to be taken away from this. The winds however can
be heard through every facet of the castle, the towers, gazebo, and the basement, it matters not where you are...
- Updated the modlist.html file. It is a tiny bit unreliable as it doesn't recognize EVERY mod, but still has most of them.
- Changed the Cube of Annhilation's drop chance from Adherents from a 0.05% chance to 0.08%.
- Changed the drop chance of the Cube Talisman from Harbinger Cubes from a 0.05% chance to 5%.
- Added "Hey! I heard that sometimes, the Final Castle's gazebo forcefield malfunctions and becomes fences. If it's still a normal forcefield though, try
using the Cube of Annihilation from the Adherents on it." to the Adherents and Harbinger Cubes Boss List book text.
- Aurorian Slime Boots have been disabled. Amordrine Boots fulfill the same purpose as them except they can be obtained much earlier in progression.
- Stymphalian and Tiny Birds now have a 1% chance to drop Chirp just like Songbirds.
- Cat is now a 1% drop chance from Creepers, Support Creepers, and Rocket Creepers instead of Feral Wolves. If they're so scared of cats, then why are they
holding onto a disc named after them?
- I sorta lied about there only being 100 mods. BUUUUT any mod that is being added after the fact will be small things to help enhance the experience or
guide the player. The First Join Message mod has been added to help people find out about the tutorial of the modpack; the Task Book. The first join message
reads as follows: "A lost soul whispers out to you. "Hey. Get a book and some Soul Sand however you can and craft those into something new. I can help you."
- The Collective mod was added. It's a dependency for First Join Message.
