Description
The idea of the modpack is to experience and complete a very interesting mod called The Betweenlands. It's a light modpack that will require 3-4 RAM.
You will spawn in the Betweenlands and you will need to craft a Swamp Talisman to go back to the... However, it may not be as easy as you might think it is. I put a lot of thoughts into quests that will help and guide you.
Below there are some tips to get you started and to keep you going:
1. You can open up quests by pressing "O" or in the upper-left corner next to the team icon;
2. Most of the items will have a skill requirement. You will need to unlock skills or even complete some advancements to use certain items;
3. Some vanilla and other recipes are tweaked to enhance your experience in the Betweenlands. Make sure to check JEI;
4. Together Forever is also in the pack, so you can sync your progress with friends;
5. Make and eat different food to earn extra hearts! Very helpful against strong bosses in Betweenlands;
6. If you want to find all the nifty structures and bosses, I would recommend using Amate Map. There is an Antique Atlas you can make for the overworld;
7. Every time you die in-game you spawn with a key in your hands. Don't forget that you can make an enchanted key to teleport back to your grave;
8. Don't underestimate Lurker Skin Shield at the beginning. Helpful to travel through rivers etc.;
9. Quests with a pentagon shape means you will obtain one of the nine parts needed to craft a Swamp Talisman.
After creating a teleport tree in the Betweenlands you will teleport to the Atum (not overworld). Immediately check a new tab in the quest menu:) You will now need to craft a Scarab to go to the Overworld.
I know most of us like using Optifine, but I recommend trying without first. Optifine can cause some render glitches in the Betweenlands. If you still decide to use it, make sure to set "Fast Render" to OFF.
