Difficult, but not annoying.
A few of my favorite mods with a difficulty I enjoy. If you're looking for a small modpack with challenging & interesting loot, you may enjoy this.

Key Features:
- You start with the Ring of Seven Curses equipped (Harder but more loot!).
- Keep inventory is on (Though you do lose some max health at your death spot).
- Quality Crops + Spice of Life incentivizes cooking high quality meals for health buffs.
- Enigmatic Legacy + Tarot Cards for rare and powerful artifacts to offset your difficulty.
- Create for train transportation, Enchantment automation and cosmetics!
- Apotheosis for in-depth Enchanting (Garden and Adventure modules are disabled).
- Yung's mods for all new Structures and Dungeons.
- Quark and Biomes o' Plenty for vanilla like biomes and features.
- No quests.
- No recipes altered.
Starting Out:
At the start you'll find yourself at the weakest. As the Ring of Seven Curses severely lowers your armor, damage, prevents sleeping, and more. You're encouraged to find yourself a safe home to stay at night, explore for special loot, that will overtime, increase your strength. You should also get a good farm going and work on making some good meals for buffs which will help immensely.
You may die a lot, so keep inventory is on to make it less of an annoyance. You'll still wanna come back to your death spot as the Ring of Seven Curses leaves a portion of your health there.
But the ring also has some upsides! You'll obtain a lot more loot drops and experience than normal. This will help towards getting some good enchanted gear for exploring more dangerous places.
You may find Create useful for navigating this world with trains, or using Enigmatic Legacy's recall potions to return home. Create will also be useful for disenchanting loot you've found, or automating highest quality meals for the powerful buffs.
This pack has no quests or goals for you to follow. And adding/removing mods will not break anything, so feel free.
