✦ RACES / SPECIES OF ELANDRIA

  1. Kiralyn
    Elegant, long-lived beings who can live up to 700 years. They age naturally and are mortal. Known for their grace, wisdom, and deep connection to magic.
    Like all mortal races, Kiralyn can be turned into vampires or werewolves.

  2. Vampires
    Cursed or transformed beings who feed on blood. They can bite and turn others without permission and compel mortals to obey them. Vampires stop aging once turned and are vulnerable only to wooden stakes or similar wood weapons.
    Witches or warlocks who become vampires may lose their magical abilities based on roleplay.

  3. Werewolves
    Cursed shapeshifters bound to the moon. They can turn others without consent and form armies. Infection through bites leads to transformation. They are driven by primal instincts and fierce loyalty.

  4. Mermaids
    Mystical beings of the deep waters, half-human, half-fish. They are mortal and bound to the seas but possess innate magic linked to water and healing. Mermaids can interact with people that walk the land but are rare and secretive.
    Like all mortal races, mermaids can be turned into vampires or werewolves if they come ashore or interact with these curses.

  5. Witches
    Mortals with innate magical abilities, skilled in rituals, curses, and elemental magic. Power varies by lineage and knowledge.
    If they become vampires, they may lose their magic as part of their transformation.
    Like all mortal races, witches can be turned into vampires or werewolves.

  6. Warlocks
    Practitioners of dark magic, often bound by pacts or forbidden rites. Known for necromancy and blood magic.
    If they become vampires, they may lose their magic as part of their transformation.
    Like all mortal races, warlocks can be turned into vampires or werewolves.

  7. Shadowborn
    Silent children of the twilight, the Shadowborn are mysterious beings born from the lingering darkness between light and shadow. Neither fully mortal nor fully immortal, they exist in the borderlands of reality and shadow.

Their skin is pale with a faint shimmer like moonlight on obsidian.
They possess limited shadow magic — able to bend darkness, hide in shadows, or move silently unseen.
Shadowborn are elusive and secretive, often serving as spies, assassins, or mystics.
Mortal but longer-lived than humans, with lifespans around 150 years.
They cannot be turned into vampires or werewolves but can be hunted or slain by them.
Prefer stealth and cunning over open conflict.
Their presence is often whispered about — protectors or harbingers, depending on who tells the tale.

    Average mortals with lifespans up to about 100 years. Vulnerable to supernatural beings but capable of growth, alliances, and learning magic.
    Like all mortal races, humans can be turned into vampires or werewolves.
