Recommended World Settings
To adjust spawn limits at world start, use:
/limitmobspawn category_limit set
Recommended values:

Monsters: 30–40
(Does not affect Horde limits) -
Creatures: 15–20
-
Ambient: 5
These settings ensure a challenging but balanced early-game experience.
Optional Configuration Adjustments
In the Corpse Complex config you can:

Prevent Curios items from dropping on death

Prevent Cosmetic Armor from dropping on death
-
Remove the Soulbind feature
You can also disable specific mobs using Bad Mobs if needed.
