The big one: airships, and then space.
Create Aeronautics
The pack now has a full physics layer for moving block structures. Build a contraption, assemble it with a Physics Assembler, and fly it. Propellers, envelopes (blimps), portable engines, sails, steering wheels, throttle levers, rope winches, docking connectors, ballast, landing wheels — plus Offroad for ground vehicles with real tires and boreheads.
Around the core, ~40 addons: Aeroworks, Kinetic Grip, Climbable Ropes, Automated Logistics, Gadgets & Gizmos, Covers, Copycat Wings, Dyeable Components, Compact Flap, AeroPortals, Aero Radars, Schematic Tool, Camera Sync, and more.
It talks to the rest of the pack: bridges for Mekanism, Curios, Jade, Copycats+, Create Big Cannons (including deployable Shield Generators), Create Crafts & Additions, Stuff 'N Additions, Design n Decor, FTB Chunks, Waystones, and CC: Tweaked (fly a ship from a Lua program).
Create Cosmonautics — go to space
The thematic replacement for the removed Stellaris tech tree. Instead of a bespoke progression, you build a rocket out of Create and fly it off the planet.
- New material chain: titanium ore → raw titanium → titanium ingot → titanium alloy → thrusters
- Rocket thrusters, vector thrusters, boosters, RCS thrusters, separators, engine nozzles, fluid hoses, magnetic stabilizers, and a jetpack
- Two new dimensions: the Moon (lunar regolith, rock, moss, full building set) and Deep Space
- Plus Alcubierre — an FTL warp drive for your ship
Removed: the Stellaris space suite
Stellaris, Stellaris Extra, Ad Astra: Per Spatium, Potentials, and Sky Aesthetics are gone. Space is now reached by building rather than by a separate tech tree. Nothing else in the pack referenced them — no quests, no recipes.
Also added
Create: Radars (7.7M downloads) — radar dishes and detection for Create contraptions.
Upgrading
A fresh world is strongly recommended. The Stellaris removal deletes its blocks/items from existing saves, and Cosmonautics adds new dimensions.
Testing
All 464 headless server tests pass (mod loading, block placement, item spawning, recipes, quests, gateways, server-pack export). The moon dimension was verified to survive a full save/restart round-trip.
Client note: the client render stack was validated statically — Sable/Veil require Sodium ≥ 0.8.12-alpha.2 and we ship 0.8.12, and none of their declared-incompatible mods (Embeddium, ScalableLux, Oculus) are present. A live rendering test was not possible in the build environment, so if you hit a client-side graphical issue, that's the first place to look.
