The way we've got Tinker's setup, where bonuses are given thru level up, can mess with you..  

In other words: 'The Gods' have found your pick to be unworthy! That flint you've chosen would have broken and is not worthy of our attention! Replace your flint pick axe head should it not +1 Mining level on the first level up.

Also - meteors come at night! You should build a bed and be near it near Dusk, or have a sleeping bag ready for when you're away from home. Build a meteor shield to protect your area, and dig deep and hunker until you can do so! Meteor's break blocks.

Zombies can become smarter! Some can spawn with a stack of building blocks to pillar up and over your walls! Some can even open doors!

Compatible with Optifine (not included) version: 1.7.10_HD_U_D6 only. Updated versions throw texture errors on load.
