Okay. So the plan originally was to make a sunscreen potion which would require blood to craft, which would later mean that when I tweak the sources of blood to be more difficult to collect blood from, players would be extremely encouraged not to use it except when they had no other options (or had a solid source of blood like villagers). This was intended as an alternative to the Kindred the Embraced route of just buffing the sunscreen skill ("We only burn if we haven't fed." -Julian Luna, explaining away why they couldn't afford to film at night in the 90s). This instead would draw from some blood magicy kind of shenanigans. One possible option would be to make it a kubejs custom item instead, where you make it by mixing vampirism blood with a magic regent of some kind. But then I couldn't get the custom item that adds the sunscreen effect to work, because kubejs load orders are weird, and then I started losing my sanity at that point, then I was thinking about the other vampirism items I wanted to create that used blood as a regent, and then I completely lost it. So here's vampires need umbrellas. I'll probably nerf it in a future patch when I come up with my sunscreen recipe.
Balancing vampirism is revolving around the idea that it sucks to do vampire stuff. I don't need hunters to be on equal footing with vampires if the vampires are a mess on their own.
