Right off the bat, you need to know that this pack is intended for multiplayer use and is fairly difficult at first.
To give you an idea of what this pack is about, I'm going to list a few key differences from vanilla that I'm sure you will notice quickly.
Included with the mod pack is our official test server for the mod pack. It will not be up at all times and may be wiped as needed, but do feel free to hop in.
1. World gen has been swapped, thanks to Lost Cities, to biodomes connected by glass tunnels with large buildings and towers inside of them, potentially filled with loot chests.
2. Your primary way of fighting mobs is now shooting! Techguns is in heavy use in this pack and it adds tons of awesome guns and armor with special buffs, and some guns have alternate firing modes and scopes!
3. Vanilla mobs have been replaced by mobs from the amazing Scape & Run Parasites mod, along with some added by Techguns. All spawn rules and rates are customized for the modpack thanks to InControl.

4. Mobs can drop "chests" when they die now. Not all mobs can drop them, but we have added custom drops thanks to Lootbags in the form of Supply Box, Large Supply Box and the rare Vindica Mortem Cache that can be right-clicked to loot.
5. Thanks to Wasteland Grocer, players will find canned foods, chips, and various medical supplies. Vanilla foods and potions are still enabled, this mod just adds to the atmosphere and utility.
6. All loot found in boxes, caches, and chests is determined by the world's control weight. This a "hidden" mechanic that is not influenced by only the player, but rather all entities that can live and die. Control weight is a world condition that can be changed by all players. Progress to the next stage can be checked using the "VMP Monitor" each player will start with upon their first spawn, however, a message will be sent to all players logged in at the time when a new level is reached.

Now that more or less sums up the major differences in gameplay, although there are a ton more included in the mod pack.
This mod pack has some minor lore that may be reworked in future updates, this can be found in the esc menu to the right hand side. Its the button that says Mission Briefing, and this does include some gameplay tips.
