What's new

Version 1.0.7 — Vein Mining Compatibility & Keybind Optimization

Version 1.0.7 builds upon the Diggus Maximus changes introduced in 1.0.6, with a focus on improving compatibility with the wide variety of modded ores and trees found throughout Devil's Reach SMP while also addressing conflicting controls introduced by the modpack's growing number of mods.

Diggus Maximus Improvements

  • Expanded Modded Log Support — Updated the Diggus Maximus configuration to recognize additional log and tree tags used throughout the modpack. This allows the Excavation feature to work more consistently with trees added by mods such as The Aether, Twilight Forest, Biomes O' Plenty, Deeper and Darker, and other content mods.
  • Expanded Modded Ore Support — Added additional ore tags and compatibility entries to improve excavation support for ores introduced by the modpack's various dimensions and content mods.
  • Improved Tree Vein Mining — Diggus Maximus now recognizes both standard Minecraft logs and additional modded log categories, allowing it to more effectively replace the dedicated Tree Vein Miner removed in Version 1.0.6.
  • Improved Ore Vein Mining — Expanded ore recognition allows Diggus Maximus to more effectively replace the previous Ore Vein Miner while supporting a broader selection of vanilla and modded ores.
  • Added Special Tree Compatibility — Added support for additional tree blocks that aren't included in the standard Minecraft log tags, including special Deeper and Darker tree blocks and Twilight Forest hollow logs.
  • Maintained Block Restrictions — Excavation remains restricted primarily to ores and tree-related blocks. Ordinary blocks such as stone, dirt, deepslate, and netherrack are not intended to be mass-excavated, keeping Diggus Maximus focused on its role as an ore and tree vein-mining system.

Keybind Optimization

  • Optimized Modded Keybinds — Keybinds throughout the modpack have been reorganized to eliminate the majority of conflicting controls while keeping Minecraft's standard vanilla controls unchanged.
  • Reduced Keybind Conflicts — Previously overlapping mod controls have been reassigned where necessary, making it easier to use modded abilities, menus, maps, and other features without accidentally triggering multiple actions.
  • Circumstantial Shared Keybinds — A small number of modded functions intentionally continue to share the same key. These functions are circumstantial and cannot normally be activated at the same time, allowing the same key to serve multiple purposes without creating a practical conflict during gameplay.
  • Improved Control Accessibility — Frequently used mod features have been prioritized for convenient keys, while rarely used configuration or utility functions have been moved or left unbound where appropriate.

Server & Client Configuration

The updated Diggus Maximus configuration is included with the modpack to provide more consistent excavation behavior between single-player, clients, and dedicated servers.

The optimized keybind configuration is also included with the client installation, providing players with a more organized default control layout immediately after installing or updating the modpack.

Summary

Version 1.0.7 is primarily a compatibility, configuration, and quality-of-life update.

Diggus Maximus now provides substantially broader support for the modded trees, logs, and ores found throughout Devil's Reach SMP, while the newly optimized keybind layout significantly reduces control conflicts caused by the modpack's large number of additional features.

A small number of controls continue to share keys where their functions are circumstantial and do not interfere with one another during normal gameplay.

No major progression or content changes have been introduced in this release.
