Not your mama's Minecraft

Description

First and foremost, Dcraft is a Builders Mod pack. There are as many blocks, textures, and ways to manipulate them as I could squeeze into this pack. No reason a person can't build something amazing in this world.

Second, you've heard of fast food? How about slow food? Kudos if you get the reference. Dcraft is the slow food of the Minecraft universe. This is not a pack to speed through. Ideally you will be playing in survival mode for the entire game. With the soft gated pack progression you will have plenty of time for building. Though there is a guide book and hint book to get you started there are sufficient mysteries to solve and rare items to find to keep you occupied for a long time. I would say 6 months to a year and a half. Longer if you are lucky. Take time to savor your accomplishments.

Third, Dcraft is perhaps the first mod pack to feature a realistic power generation and utilization system. Yes you can get to a point where you have more power than you need, but that is going to cost a lot of time and resources to accomplish. Heavy machinery draws a lot of power you will you be able to generate enough?

Fourth, you will need to explore. Certain rare materials are few and far between. Can you find them? Can you figure out what is trash and what truely is treasure? Time will tell.

Fifth, there is a goal, a set of victory conditions as it were. All you have to do is play the game in survival mode and build a colony on a planet in another star system. That's all. Heh, heh, heh. That's all . . .

To increase the steam punk aspect of Dcraft I highly recommend downloading and using Glimmar's Steampunk texture pack.

Please do not include footage of your escape. Let everyone else figure out what they need to do on their own. Once you are on the Overworld you may begin your story.
