About The Pack

This pack has been developed with Steam Deck users in mind. It has full controller support and a heavy emphasis on performance optimizations, while remaining as beautiful and full of content as I could manage.

About Me

My name is Kyle, also known as CryoByte33. I run a highly technical YouTube channel, mainly focused on Steam Deck content.

I've been playing Minecraft since Alpha v1.0.11, back in 2010. The first version I modded was Alpha v1.0.17_04 with custom JAR hacks used to disable creeper explosions, so I've been doing this for a while. I host private modded servers for friends and family, and this is the latest version of that pack!

This is just a bit of a side project for me, as I'm mostly busy with YouTube content and Steam Deck optimizations, but I hope you enjoy!

Expected Performance

Steam Deck

Optimal settings for Steam Decks are already included with this pack, with expected performance staying at a locked 40 in most cases when not actively generating new terrain, and above 30 when exploring.

Other

This pack should generally perform pretty well on modern-ish hardware, my laptop with a 5900hx and 6800m gets about 100 FPS at 1080p when not generating new terrain.

Performance Recommendations

RAM

Allocate 6-12 GB of RAM to this pack, I personally use 8GB on my Steam Deck.
