CRUCIAL 2: BRUTAL

I wanted a really challenging, realistic but still simple modpack.

Each little progress will feel rewarding when you are constantly struggling to survive.

I tried creating this from scratch but somehow it would always crash, until I tried adding the same mods to the Crucial 2 modpack by Vazkii.\

PS: In order to check the current season, use the Calendar item from Serene Seasons.

Main features:

Smaller inventory is only your toolbar (up to double that when wearing the backpack)
No tree punching, start with flint tools
Seasons to limit what crops you can grow
Mobs are insanely dangerous (improved mobs, sunscreen, runners, champions and mods like UNDEAD)
Thirst and body temperature
Slower natural healing, potions are now useful
Torches that run out and more darkness
Grab items with a hotkey, not automatically
MCA so you can marry and then lose your loved ones
Bloodmoon, lol
Spice of Life to force players to eat different dishes, still limited to seasons
Silent Gear and Silent Gems so you can go much beyond vanilla strength and survive all of this insanity
Immersive Engineering for that nice looking and immersive increase in production
Cool stuff for hobbies and multiplayer (painting, chess and playing cards for tradition card games)
