A NeoForge 1.21.1 modpack built for slow, satisfying survival. Pretty out of the box, comfy to play, packed with things to build and explore. Around 350 mods, configured to play together without the usual recipe conflicts and chunk-burst lag of pack assembly.

🌈 The feel

🎨 Bedrock-style look, by default. Enchanted items get the cartoony Actions & Stuff glow outline, fully shader-compatible (Iris). Fresh Animations, 3D models for armor, food, tools. The first launch already looks polished.

🌳 Worldgen made for survival. Terralith, Tectonic, Nature's Spirit, BetterEnd, BetterNether, Geophilic, WorldWeaver. Mountains that feel like mountains, biomes that blend, custom structures from Lukis (Ancient Cities, Crazy Chambers, Strongholds, Grand Capitals). Every direction worth walking in.

🛋️ Cozy without being slow. No grind walls, no soul-crushing progression locks. Configs are tuned so you can have fun playing with good performance and optimal settings.

🔧 What's in the box

This is not a mod dump. Every config has been touched. The stack focuses on three things:

🔩 Automation that scales. Create plus most of its addon ecosystem, from rail networks and casing variants to stress-balanced kinetics. Train Parts, Railways Navigator, Sequenced Assembly, and dragon-themed Create extensions all in.

🏛️ Buildings that look like buildings. Macaw's full suite (bridges, roofs, doors, windows, fences, paths, stairs, trapdoors), Diagonal Fences/Walls/Windows, Chipped, Handcrafted, EmbellishCraft, Additional Lanterns. Stop building cubes.

🍳 Food that matters. Farmer's Delight is the spine, with Nether's Delight, Ender's Delight, Expanded Delight, and Crabber's Delight slotted on top. Cook real meals before going out.

💻 Recommended client setup

⚠️ Allocate enough RAM

Minimum 8 GB. Recommended 12 GB or more. Below 8 GB the game will stutter or OOM during chunk burst, especially with shaders enabled.

In CurseForge App: Profile → Settings → Java Settings → set memory to at least 8192 MB. 12288 MB or more if your machine allows.

Java arguments

ZGC with generational mode. Sub-millisecond pauses, scales well with the 12 GB+ heap this pack wants.

-Xms4G -Xmx12G -XX:+UseZGC -XX:+ZGenerational -XX:+AlwaysPreTouch -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions

Adjust -Xmx upward if you allocated more than 12 GB. Requires Java 21 (GraalVM CE 21 preferred, OpenJDK 21 also fine).

Shaders

Iris is preinstalled. Drop your shaderpack into the shaderpacks/ folder of the instance. Tested combos: Complementary Reimagined + Euphoria Patches, Photon, CazToon.

Distant Horizons

Already preconfigured. If you want to push LOD radius higher, edit config/distanthorizons.toml in the instance folder.

🐛 Known quirks

• 🔁 First join chunk burst can cause a 3-4s tick stall while chunks generate. Normal. It settles after.
• 📚 Some recipe parse warnings in the boot log from a few mods (Create Railways phantom track, Farmer's Knives palladium variant). Harmless, no crash.
• 🎨 Enchantment Outline pack needs CIT Resewn + NeoPatcher to work alongside Iris shaders. Bundled and configured.
