A whole new way to build
The complete Macaw's collection — windows with shutters and curtains, barn and stable doors, real roofs with ridges, fences and hedges, paths and paving, bridges with piers, balconies and spiral stairs, over a hundred paintings, street lamps and paper lanterns, every one in every wood type. Handcrafted furnishes the inside: tables, chairs, benches, couches, shelves and beds with cushions in any colour. Macaw's Furniture adds wardrobes, desks and kitchen counters you can store things in. Rechiseled turns one block into dozens with a chisel. Additional Lanterns brings lanterns in copper, iron, gold, diamond, netherite, amethyst and stone, each in sixteen colours.
Light in your hand
Hold a torch, a lantern or glowstone — in either hand — and it lights the cave as you walk (Dynamic Lights). With Curious Lanterns you get a lantern slot on your belt; lanterns from every mod in the pack fit into it.
Three new tech paths
Draconic Evolution — the endgame. Four tiers from draconium to chaotic, fusion crafting with injectors charged by the million, an energy core that holds more than the game can count, a chestpiece with shield and creative flight, and a reactor that powers everything — or takes the base with it. Ender IO — nine alloys, the SAG mill, conduits that carry power, items, fluids and redstone in one block, travel anchors, spawners you fill with a captured soul. Pipez — the simplest pipes in the pack: one wrench click, done.
All three are woven into what's already there: every Ender IO alloy also mixes in a heated Create basin, coal dust and silicon come from the crushing wheels long before the SAG mill exists, draconium ore gives dust in the crushing wheels and Mekanism's enrichment chamber (the mod itself has no way to make it), and Pipez' gas pipe takes brass.
Bosses, but only if you want them
This is a quiet pack, so no boss moves into the overworld. Three mods bring a whole ladder of bosses, every one behind a portal or a summoning. The Twilight Forest opens with a diamond thrown into a pool: eight bosses in a fixed order — Naga, Lich, Minoshroom, Hydra, Knight Phantoms, Ur-Ghast, Alpha Yeti, Snow Queen — each region locked until the one before falls, from iron-armour easy to genuinely hard. The Aether opens with a glowstone frame and a bucket of water: floating islands, flying pigs, a stone cube that only pickaxes can hurt, a queen who demands ten medals before she fights, a sun spirit who keeps the day from ending. Bosses of Mass Destruction adds four bosses you wake yourself — a soul star thrown onto a tower, a lily whose pollen leads to a cavern, an eye placed in an obsidian altar, a punch on a sealed blackstone wall — each dropping a unique material for the mod's tools: a staff that stops all mob spawning for 64 blocks, a table that grants flight in a column, a spear that teleports through walls. At the end of the ladder waits Draconic Evolution's Chaos Guardian.
The new dimensions are tied into the pack: Aether ores double in the Create crushing wheels and Mekanism's enrichment chamber, fiery ingots and knightmetal melt in the Create basin, raw ironwood mixes with double yield, and a soul star can be pressed in mechanical crafting for those who would rather build than hunt.
Vein mining
FTB Ultimine: hold ~ and mine one block — the whole ore vein, the whole tree comes with it. Shapes via ~ + scroll. Works with Tinkers' tools.
Tinkers' Construct, the way you remember it
Every tool levels from the moment it's made — no nether star, no lost ability slot — up to level 10. Each level brings a new modifier slot (an ability slot at 3, 6 and 10) and a stat jump worth having: +2.5 attack damage on every odd level, +12.5 at level 10, with mining speed, durability and attack speed in between. Armour gains armour and toughness per level, bows gain projectile damage. Experience comes from every hit — as much as the damage dealt — and every block broken, so an axe levels in combat as well as at the woodpile, and the levelling curve is flatter than before. Tools also start with two more upgrade slots and one more ability slot; haste, sharpness and reinforced go to level 10 instead of 5, half a stack of redstone or quartz per level.
Quest book: 159 new quests, a new tab
A seventh tab, Bosses & Dimensions, with full chapters for the Twilight Forest (27 quests — portal, magic map, every region and every boss with tactics and loot), the Aether (25 — from skyroot to the Sun Spirit) and Bosses of Mass Destruction (21 — how each boss is found, woken and beaten, and what its material makes). Full chapters for Draconic Evolution (26 quests), Ender IO (25) and Pipez (20), each starting from zero. Nine quests for building and light, one for vein mining. A new reward table, Boss Spoils. All bilingual.
Fixed
- The multiplayer list no longer shows "Incompatible FML modded server" — four client mods (JEITweaker, Just Enough Mekanism Multiblocks, Searchables, Zume) are in the server pack now.
- Balm updated to 7.3.43.
