A mindless dive into the technologically inane will be society's doom.
We see it all over the place. Avaritia, Gregtech.
Scourges, the lot of them.
A wise man once said,
"No humans are supposed to be doing this. Humans are supposed to be picking up, like, a wheelbarrow full of, like, logs and, like, just slowly walking with it and delivering those logs to the the the community. And then, like, those logs are used to build houses. And then there's also, like, a baker, and, like, a butcher. No, humans aren't supposed to be doing what we're doing right now."
I aim to emulate this experience.
The first order of business was improving the farming experience. The mods aiding in this regard are:
- Farmer's Delight (of course??)
- Famer's Delight addons (not listing those)
- Abnormals Mods (the whole applicable lot of them. not listing those either)
- Create (but it's ok because that's, like, rustic steampunk)
Alongside these improvements to farming, other gameplay changes were put in place to hurt progression.
- Ores only spawn along cave walls.
- You suffocate below y level zero.
- The nether too, because I hate you.
- Villages are no longer safe-havens.
- Armor can slow you down a whole bunch.
The end game of this modpack was not a focus in the slightest. Here are some petty goals you might like to work towards.
- Consume every food item.
- Defeat the dragon? (you suffocate there too)
- Construct a lovely humble village.
- Factory for your favorite food item.
- Et Cetera.
