The RPG Expansion is here.

This update significantly expands progression and combat with RPG classes, skill trees, new weapons, armor, magic, relics, jewelry, improved navigation, and deeper Cobblemon progression.

⚔️ Combat Overhaul

• Better Combat

  • Introduces smoother and more dynamic melee combat with improved attack animations and weapon handling.

• Alex's Caves: Better Combat

  • Adds Better Combat compatibility for weapons from Alex's Caves.

🧙 RPG Classes

Added several new combat classes and playstyles:

• Rogues & Warriors

• Archers

• Paladins & Priests

• Wizards

• Elemental Wizards

Players can now specialize in melee combat, ranged combat, healing, support, or different forms of magic.

Progression now focuses more heavily on creating your own character build and choosing how you want to develop your playstyle.

Cobblemon now has its own dedicated progression system with multiple profession paths focused on:

• Breeding

• Exploration

• Gathering and harvesting

• General Cobblemon progression

Players now have access to a minimap and full world map for easier navigation, exploration, waypoint management, and keeping track of discovered areas.

• Fixed the main menu background appearing while opening menus in-game.

❌ Removed

• Cobblemon MMO Skills

The previous MMO-style skill system has been removed and replaced by the new skill tree-based progression system.

This gives players more control over their builds and provides more meaningful progression choices instead of primarily leveling individual skills through repetition.

🎯 Update Focus

Choose Your Path is one of the largest progression updates to Cobblemon SMP so far.

Players can now choose between different RPG classes, create specialized character builds, progress through multiple skill trees, unlock Cobblemon-focused progression, discover new weapons and armor, collect powerful relics and jewelry, and explore the world with improved navigation tools.

The goal remains the same: expand the experience around Cobblemon while keeping Cobblemon itself at the center of the modpack.
