Cobblemon + Create 1.6.zip
What's new
🔧 Update 1.6
CobbleCreate is now running on Cobblemon 1.8.0 "Make Your Move." Expect a massive wave of new content on top of the migration itself — a brand new universal structure-locator machine, the first custom Ultra Beast/Necrozma storyline, Area Zero and the Paradox Pokémon, a full badge system overhaul, and a huge batch of quest, performance, and translation fixes.
⚠️ Heads up: you do not need to start a fresh world for 1.6. That said, all of the new content (Area Zero, the Megalo Tower, new structures, new spawns) will only generate in unexplored chunks, so don't expect it to retroactively appear near your existing base.
⚠️ On mod compatibility: a number of mods this pack depends on haven't updated to Cobblemon 1.8.1 yet. To get the pack running properly on this version, a few of them had to be forked in the meantime. As soon as the original authors push official 1.8.1-compatible updates, this pack will switch back over to the official versions.
🧬 Cobblemon 1.8 "Make Your Move" Migration
Moving to Cobblemon 1.8 touched a huge amount of the pack. Here's what changed as a direct result:
- Advancements were reset by Cobblemon itself, which broke hundreds of quests tied to them. All affected quest lines were rebuilt (see the Quests section below), please double-check your progression after updating
- Cobblemon 1.8 introduced its own native TM system (TM Machine). TM Craft has not been removed, but is now fully gated behind T2 of the tech progression, the native Cobblemon system is effectively treated as the early-game option. TMs can be freely traded 1:1 between TM Craft and native Cobblemon TMs. A cleaner long-term solution for the two systems coexisting is planned for 1.7
- All 2,178 TM Craft TMs must now be crafted through the Mechanical Crafter, tying TM Craft directly to Create progression and keeping it consistent with Cobblemon's own new TM mechanics
- The Copper Blank Disc (TM Craft) now requires a native Cobblemon Blank TM to craft
- Native Cobblemon TM recipes were reworked to stay consistent with TM Craft's tiering
- Removed the custom Ability Capsule recipe — Cobblemon's own base recipe is used now
- The pack now supports Legacy TMs on top of TM, EGG, TUTOR, and STAR move sources
- Pokémon can spawn in Underground Dungeons again, thanks to Cobblemon 1.8's new Habitat Block
- The PC now shows an overlay for Pokémon currently on expedition
- Cobblemon 1.8 introduces several storage-related mechanics for data monitors that will be explored further in the pack's tech line in future updates
🧭 New Machine: Regional Locator Array
CobbleCreate's own answer to "where the heck is this structure" — the Regional Locator Array, a single, universal structure locator that replaces LumyMon's Cartography Tables, the Explorer Compass, and Legendary Monuments' Arc Phone.
- Feed it an item tied to a specific structure (from any mod) and it generates a Structure Map with the exact coordinates and dimension, you don't even need to be in that dimension for it to work
- No more juggling dozens of different locator tools, items, or blocks
- No more spending hours wandering for one specific structure, and no more needing to travel to a dimension just to find out a structure is even there
Locator Chips — 9 regional chips plus a General Chip act as required upgrades for the Array, each regional chip unlocking that generation's structures:
| Chip | How to obtain |
|---|---|
| Kanto | Crafted via Tech quest progression |
| Johto | Found at the Team Rocket Tower |
| Hoenn | Found at the Rocket Radio Tower |
| Sinnoh | Found at Crescent Isle |
| Unova | Found at the Team Galactic HQ |
| Kalos | Crafted via Tech quest progression |
| Alola | Crafted via Tech quest progression |
| Galar | Found at Aether Paradise |
| Paldea | Crafted via Tech quest progression |
| General | Crafted via Tech quest progression — locates structures not tied to a specific Pokémon region, like Cataclysm structures |
You can only search for a region's structures if you have that region's chip installed. The Array requires at least 32 RPM on its bottom face to operate. Tooltips were added to both the Array and every chip.
LumyMon Radars
LumyMon's 7 Cartography Table recipes were removed since the Array replaces them entirely — but the individual per-legendary radars are back, since they now plug directly into the Array.
Recipes added for existing LumyMon radars: Dyna Tree Radar, Lugia Radar, Ho-Oh Radar, Eon Duo Radar, Regigigas Radar, Heatran Radar, Space-Time Radar, Giratina Radar, and Torn Page / Torn Journal.
Brand-new custom radars (KubeJS), not part of base LumyMon: Mew Radar, Celebi Radar, Deoxys Radar, Jirachi Radar, Manaphy Radar, Shaymin Radar, Meloetta Radar, Light and Dark Duo Radar, Kyurem Radar, Victini Radar, and Hoopa Radar.
Also added: a KubeJS Ultra Recon Squad Badge and an Aether Foundation ID item (not radars, but related access items tied to the same systems above).
The Your Journey quest line was updated to fold in the new chip system, along with all the radar recipes above.
🏅 CobbleCreate Badges (New Custom Mod)
CobbleCreate now has its own dedicated badge mod, replacing Cobbleverse Badges.
Why: Cobbleverse Badges only covers up through Sinnoh, and the plan for this pack has always been all 9 generations. Building a dedicated mod also means a custom GUI with hand-made pixel art for every gym leader, and the freedom to add cases other badge mods simply don't offer (like the Alola trial case).
⚠️ Action required: you must convert every badge, trophy, and case you currently hold from Cobbleverse Badges into the new CobbleCreate Badges items — just place each one on a crafting table to convert it. Convert your badges first, and only convert the case last, so you don't lose anything mid-conversion. Cobbleverse Badges will be fully removed in update 1.7, so make sure you convert everything before then.
- Added alternate crafting recipes for the new badges, trophies, and cases
- Every trainer in the pack has had their badge swapped over to the new mod
👾 Ultra Beasts, Necrozma & the Megalo Tower
- Added 10 Ultra Beast Samples: Symbiont (Nihilego), Absorption (Buzzwole), Beauty (Pheromosa), Lightning (Xurkitree), Blaster (Celesteela), Blade (Kartana), Glutton (Guzzlord), Adhesive (Poipole), Assembly (Stakataka), and Burst (Blacephalon), all added to the True Legends quest line
- All 10 Ultra Beasts can be obtained at Aether Paradise, except Poipole, whose sample drops from Phyco after defeating them at the Megalo Tower
- Added the Megalo Tower, a brand-new structure in The End
- Added the 4 members of the Ultra Recon Squad — Dulse, Phyco, Soliera, and Zossie — as NPC trainers at the Megalo Tower
- Added Necrozma to the True Legends quest line, along with a proper summoning altar at the Megalo Tower
- Added the N-Prism Shard, dropped by the Ultra Recon Squad, used to craft the N-Prism Core, the item used to summon Necrozma
- Added Type: Null and Silvally to the True Legends quest line
🛸 Aether Paradise & the Paradox Resonance Chamber
- Added the Wormhole Resonance Chamber, buildable using the Wormhole Core, found at Aether Paradise (T3 machine)
- Added the Paradox Resonance Chamber, an upgrade to the Wormhole Resonance Chamber that can spawn Koraidon and Miraidon (T4 machine)
- The AE2 Singularity can duplicate legendary summoning items once, the resulting duplicate can only be used in the Paradox Resonance Chamber
- Beyond Koraidon and Miraidon, the Paradox Resonance Chamber can re-summon legendaries duplicated through the Singularity, especially useful for multiplayer, and it'll have a bigger role in the endgame going forward
- Updated the True Legends quest entries for the Wormhole/Paradox Resonance Chamber, Koraidon, and Miraidon, and recalibrated the wormhole spawn event now that these Pokémon spawn via item instead
- Added the trainers Anabel, Faba, Gladion, Looker, and Lusamine, plus 6 generic Aether Foundation Employees, to Aether Paradise
- The Cosmic Catalyst is no longer crafted, it now drops from Lusamine instead
- Tripled the Relic drop rate from Gimmighoul
🌋 Area Zero & the Paradox Pokémon
- Added Area Zero, a new structure equivalent to the Great Crater of Paldea, directly tied to the Paradox Pokémon
- Added 3 dedicated research structures within Area Zero
- Thanks to Cobblemon's new Habitat Spawner block, Area Zero is now a full wild-spawn region for Paradox Pokémon, hundreds of species were added to it, matching their canonical in-game spawns
- As a direct result, Paradox Pokémon no longer spawn in the regular overworld, you need to find Area Zero and catch them there
- Aside from Koraidon and Miraidon (handled through the Paradox Resonance Chamber instead), every other Paradox legendary/mythical spawns wild inside Area Zero
- Trainers and antagonists have not been added to Area Zero yet, that's planned for a future update, for now it's purely a Paradox spawn region
- Added the Indigo Disk item, used to locate Area Zero through the Regional Locator Array (it'll gain more functionality down the line)
- Added 23 new True Legends quests covering the Paradox Pokémon
