A Cobblemon centric RPG adventure modpack. Beat the gym in each dimension to unlock the next, and along with it - new tiers of tech and items to use in your world.
Uses custom KubeJS scripts, FTB Quests and a custom Cobblemensions Core mod to customize the experience by gating certain tech tiers behind dimensional materials and introducing new materials, tools and items - Progress in the cobblemensions cobblemon arc to progress in the tech mods. This can however be turned off*.
The pack contains tech mods such as Mekanism, Oritech, Powah, AE2 and Create New Age / Create for the people who are interested in the more techy aspect of things or who like to automate resource collection and processing. For those more interested in the RPG aspect of things the pack has Cataclysm, Iron's spells and spellbooks, Illager invasion, Mine cells and more. These mods include things such as dungeons, bosses and cool gear and weapons!
You begin your journey in the overworld where you need to train a team of Pokémon and find a gym, either byt exploring or crafting a gym compass. You then need to defeat the gym's 2 disciples along with its leader to earn the badge of that dimension. Having the Overworld Badge unlocks the Nether, having the Nether Badge unlocks the Aether and so on...
The pack contains, as previously mentioned, a custom mod. This mod for example contains 9 lure modules, each lure module represents a dimension except 1, which increases shiny odds. Place a lure module to attract pokémon from the lure's dimension without needing to go there!
Alongside the lures the custom Cobblemensions Core mod also offers utility items and a very simple to use machine blocks, essentially a way for people who do not like complex tech and automation networks to still enjoy playing with a little bit of tech. No chemicals, no liquids, only FE and item inputs & outputs. Most of the Cobblemensions core items will be somewhat reliant on the machines to be crafted, but do not worry if you do not like tech mods, it's made with you in mind!
There are 8 gyms in 8 dimensions, right now after you beat the final gym leader in the end you unlock the Radical Trainers arcs and can do these after the Cobblemensions arc, however, the Elite 4 is planned to be added in a later version.
*Useful commands:
/gymgen bypass [player] on\off\status\clear - Toggles dimensional gating by beating the gym leaders - server side - the player can now enter any dimension regardless of cobblemensions cobblemon arc progression. Use /gymgen bypass off\on for global server settings, player specific overrides take priority over global override settings - By default bypass is OFF and dimensiona are gated for all players. The idea behind the commands is so that players who want to focus on more non-cobblemon centric things can still do so without being forced to progress through the gyms.
/bossdifficulty off\on\status - The modpack has a custom KubeJS script that automatically turns on hard mode whenever any player is within 32 blocks of a boss entity, for example any of the cataclysm bosses, any of the minecells bosses or even vanilla bosses. This is turned on by default, to turn this off do /bossdifficulty off. The point of this exisiting is so people can play in easy / normal mode so they do not have to worry about dying to normal hostile mobs, but still keep bosses explicitly as a challenge. I recommend to turn this off for larger servers with many players, as it can get messy. Its more intended for smaller worlds with 4-5 players.
There are also a good amount of debug / testing commands avaiable, but these are not too useful outside of testing. Internal mod ID is gymgen, but display name is Cobblemensions Core - Hence the commands begin with /gymgen.
