Classical Industrialization is a only-Tech modpack, made in the style of a kitchen-sink, but also a progression modpack. This means that there are mods which are gated behind one another, but the mods themselves aren't changed much (except for Galacticraft, more on that later). It features these mods:
Industrial Craft 2 Classic: is the main focus of the modpack. It has it's unique energy system called Energy Unit (EU) and you have to invent machinery to both create and consume it. An addon has been installed called IC2 Extras, which adds some miscellaneous things mostly for Quality of Life.
Thermal Expansion: has been added in order to "assist the gameplay" if you will. It has its own automation challenges which you will encounter on your way to beating the modpack, such as obtaining Enderium.
BuildCraft: It would be an injustice not to add BuildCraft to a modpack which is about IC2c. You can use buildcraft's Quarry to automatically obtain resources, or you can make the Assembly Table which is an crucial part in the endgame recipes.
Extra Utilities 2: is crucial throughout the game, and plays an important role when you want to obtain the end goal: the Creative Chest. While it doesn't add anything specific, you can use some of the interesting items it adds, such as the Angel Ring which grants creative flight.
Galacticraft: Is locked until the middlegame/lategame, due to its overhauled and expensive recipes. The most challening part of this mod is acquiring the Tier 3 Rocket. This allows you to get to Mercury and obtain Magnesium, needed for endgame recipes. An addon for this mod has been installed as well: Galaxy Space, which makes the progression overall way more difficult.
Refined Storage: You have probably already heard about this mod, but in case you haven't, the mod adds a Digital Storage and Autocrafting, making the endgame recipes easier to tackle on.
FTB Quests: Following this modpack's progression without a guide would be difficult, so a proper questbook has been made, which tells the player how to continue forwards.
These are not the only mods which are present. Some other minor mods have been added to assist in your journey but don't have any significant impact on the progression, such as Storage Drawers or Chunk Loaders.
It has been mentioned before, but the final goal is to get the Creative Chest. This task certainly won't be easy. Think you can easily obtain it? Give it a shot!
