v0.62 (BETA)

We accidentally left Open Terrain Generator Core in the mod folder, which was unused, but the version of Twilight Forest we had installed was unstable, and later had its download removed by the author, so version 0.61 was always going to get the boot.

  • Removed OTG Core
  • Updated Twlight Forest to the latest Version

v0.61 (BETA)

  • Updated forge to the most recent version.
  • Updated a number of mods, including chisel & bits, and twilight forest.
  • Added a test world for OTG terrain generation (it might be coming back) (maybe) (probably not tbh).

- Skal & Jordan

v0.6 (BETA)

  • Slightly less Beta ;)
  • Updated Twilight Forest
  • Added new mod, Waddles - it adds penguins.

- Skal & Jordan

v0.52 (BETA)

  • Updated a number of mods to the most recent version, to stay up to date with the server.

 - Skal & Jordan

v0.51 (BETA)

  • Updated HarvestCraft & Quark to the most recent version, to stay up to date with the server.
  • Added Custom Advancements to the Test World, however they are not currently operational.

 - Skal & Jordan

v0.5 (BETA)

  • Removed Decocraft, because it sucked
  • Removed the player-like villagers from Minecraft Comes Alive - this means that villages will now spawn original testificates, however the mod is still in the pack for the time being, meaning that players will still be able to interact with other players. (Players can get married and have MCA villager children - this is intentional)
  • Added an additional ResourcePack named "Button Mashers Resources"
  • Removed 27 biomes from Biomes O'Plenty that didn't suit the Modpack
  • Updated config files accordingly.
  • Added 2 Single-Player worlds to the saves to showcase the Biomes O'Plenty world-generation, and just a superflat world for testing
  • Changed SCDT to inactive by default (meant to do this before but forgot to change it apparently)
  • Changed BMR to active by default

I've also been through each and every config file and updated accordingly, simply to make sure there aren't any exploitable features (although i imagine the players on the server will be able to find a multitude of exploitables, that we'll have to remove sometime down the line) and also to make sure that some things are particularly toned down, such as the changes made to MCA which can be seen above.

The pack is nearing completion now, there's just a few final changes that need making and then we should be ready for a release sometime in February.

v0.4 (BETA)

  • Changed the name of the official server to "Official Whitelisted Server"
  • Added Minecraft Comes Alive at request of player Mxylarious
  • Adjusted a lot of the config for MCA

The included server being labelled as "Whitelisted" makes it a little more clear that external players can't join this server, this aspect is simply for the convenience of the players.

Minecraft comes alive seems like a brilliant mod! We hadn't thought to include it until recently, and it may not be included in the final release of the pack, but for now it's interesting to play around with, and seems to add a unique aspect to the game previously none existent.

v0.3 (BETA)

  • Added SCDT as an optional resourcepack, with the options.txt dictating it as "off" by default
  • Added a default options folder that the game will come with, but obviously is not limited to
  • Added the Button Mashers server to the server list, but don't worry, it's whitelisted ;)

The addition of SCDT is a test to possibly incorporate a new default set of textures for the server, which will be turned on by default, meaning we recommend all server users make use of them, whether it be alone, or in addition to another set of textures.

The concept of custom textures also brings custom crafting to mind, which may be incorporated with the use of mods such as minetweaker.

We have plans to add further mods, be it simple dimension mods, or aesthetic mods, nothing too tech or magic heavy of course to keep to the theme of the server, and also plan to read through each and every config file in preperation - Quark's config file has more lines than all of the other config files combined.

That's all for today, enjoy testing peeps.

v0.2 (BETA)

Removed the following mods:

  • Mo' Creatures
  • Custom Mob Spawner

These mods have not actually been updated to 1.12 on Curse Forge, meaning that Dr Zhark wants people to download the mod externally, which we may incorporate in the future, but for now it's simply being excluded.

Slightly tweaked config files for some of the aesthetic clientside mods.

  • HWYLA (Here's What You're Looking At)
  • Inventory Tweaks
  • Item Scroller
  • Light Level Overlay Reloaded
