Description
Background
Boundary is a pack that I've been working off and on since 2018. It was meant for my group of friends, but over time it's become more apparent that it would be easier to make it publicly available. I can't promise a lack of bugs, but I can tell you that I've spent a lot of my own time ironing out an uncountable amount of issues. I hope you enjoy the time you spend on Boundary.
Summary
Boundary is a pack that focuses adventuring, combat, dimension traveling, and light questing. I created this pack to try and instill fear and wonder back into the game.Vanilla Minecraft, and most of modded Minecraft suffers from a lack of challenge. This pack isn't meant to be grindy, instead it utilizes location specific resources to create certain items. Your arsenal and general power level is enhanced, but so is everything you face. Expect everything and anything. Except for underhanded BS like Lycanite's mobs. I try my best to make everything fair.

Performance Settings
I have shipped the pack with a culmination of optimizations from different mod packs. The default options for performance should work just fine for anyone with 6 gigs of ram and a mid tier GPU. I personally use a mid tier AMD GPU (RX580), and I tend to cap out at my monitors refresh rate 99% of the time. Your results may vary. Especially if you are using AMD graphics drivers that released after May 2022 (Seriously just use the 22.5.1 drivers).
Since I can't ship optifine with this pack, I suggest you download a 1.12 version from their site. You should be able to find plenty of video guides explaining how to do so. 1.12 is practically dependent on optifine.
Here are my recommended java arguments (reddit link):
-XX:+UseG1GC -Dsun.rmi.dgc.server.gcInterval=2147483646 -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=32M
These seem to provide a seamless playing experience.
Hanging Questions
If you have any issues, concerns, or questions feel free to state them in the comments of this modpack. I'm always trying to improve it. My short term goals are to finish the quests, rework the dynamic loot system for dungeons, and finish the recipes for late game items. I am crunching towards these every night now that my other hobbies/games are winding down, and so is my semester.
