Vanilla+ Optimizations with the goal of supporting Distant Horizons and Hysteria Shaders, plus a bunch of QoL features.

Description

Support me on Ko-Fi!

Originally made for use on my server, I felt that this modpack offered something I hadn't really seen in other modpacks; a curated, specific Vanilla+ experience, that doesn't add a bunch of new blocks and mechanics to the game, and is literally just aimed at improving the vanilla experience.

The only mod that adds anything completely new to the game is Universal Graves… Beacuse, frankly, Minecraft's death mechanic just isn't great.

Beyond that, this modpack adds a number of optimizations with the aim of supporting Distant Horizons and the Hysteria Shaders without significantly affecting normal gameplay. I've also tweaked the Hysteria shaders to my preference. I know they are traditionally horror shaders, but they are gorgeous and atmospheric in their own right.

This modpack adds the ability to craft Name Tags, Saddles, and Horse Armor, and upgraded mechanics surrounding Spawners. It also adds a slot for your Elytra, so that you can wear armor at the same time.

Block placing mechanics are also improved, adding Bridging and Accurate Block Placement Reborn. Elytra flight mechanics are improved with Do a Barrel Roll. And finally, sleep mechanics are improved with SleepCycle. Now when you sleep, the world will continue around you, but much faster. Don't sleep too long!

The pack also includes a massive amount of bugfixing and general utility/ QoL features, provding the player with a lot more information about Status Effects, Enchantments, and Hunger

Finally, this modpack includes the famous and popular WorldEdit mod, including a few schematics of my own. For those new to WorldEdit: try typing "//schem load SuperSmelter "(note the double backslash, that's how you access most of WorldEdit's features). Also, your Wooden Axe might not work as a Wooden Axe. This is because of WorldEdit, if you hate it type "/tool none" (single backslash here). This is the biggest new mechanic added but it's also completely ignorable if you don't want to engage with it.

List of non-CurseForge mods included in this modpack (please go support these creators!):
Better Fletching Table ResourcePack (for the Mod, which is hosted on Curse)
Disable Portal Checks
Immersive Thunder
Lithium Fabric API
Thread Tweak

Getting the most out of this modpack:

Make sure you have Java set up properly for Minecraft in the CurseForge launcher. Give it as much RAM as you can spare, and under additional arguments, you should have:
-XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=32M

For extra realism, try setting your character's height to match your real-world height!

Use "/attribute @s generic.scale base set " followed by a scaling value that is your Height in Meters divided by two. I'm 5'8", so my scaling value was ~0.8785.
