What's new

Bloomworks 0.1.0

Very early build of Bloomworks to ensure compatibility. Expect quest and world changes.

New Features

Wildlife Journal (Vol. VI)

  • A new field guide to every creature in the pack, opened from a new bookmark on the inventory journal.
  • Covers 568 creatures from 34 mods, sorted into tabs: Pets, Animals, Birds, Insects, Butterflies & Moths, Bees, Aquatic, Monsters, Bosses, and Folk & Spirits.
  • Each entry shows the creature's model, where to find it (dimension, biomes and how rare it is), and your own counts for seen, tamed, bred, caught and killed.
  • Look at a creature within 8 blocks to discover it. A note on screen marks each first sighting, catch, tame, breed and kill, plus every catch, tame and boss defeat after that.
  • Search, plus filters by mod, dimension, biome, type and discovered status.
  • A Drops section lists what each creature drops and how likely it is.
  • Every tameable creature is filed under Pets.

Nature Journal (Vol. VII)

  • A companion book for the world itself: biomes, structures, flowers, trees, crops, mushrooms, ores, crystals and geodes, and rocks and soils.
  • Discover entries by looking at them up close, or by visiting the biome or structure.
  • Biome and structure entries point you to the nearest one once you've found it, and count how many separate places you've found.
  • Ore entries show the heights and biomes they generate in, how many you've mined, and the day you last mined one.
  • Every block page shows the tool it needs (with the pickaxe tier for ores) and what it drops, including Fortune and Silk Touch.

Both journals

  • Cards show a badge in the top-right corner: a question mark until you find the entry, then what you've done with it (caught, tamed, bred or killed), or a check once it's found.
  • Big counts are shortened (1.2k, 15k, 1.2M) so they fit on the cards and in the stat boxes.

Seasons

  • Season growth: crops now grow at normal speed out of season and four times faster in season, instead of slowing to a crawl out of season. Bone meal works in every season.
  • Seed tooltips mark the seasons a crop grows fastest in with a seedling and arrow.
  • Season dial: right-click a Serene Seasons calendar to pin a season dial to your minimap's field map. The calendar isn't used up, and its tooltip tells you what it does.

Pause journal

  • The pause screen is now a page of the journal, like the main menu and the inventory. Every pause option is still there, and the game stays visible behind the book.
  • The left page shows your current biome, the weather, the time of day and your coordinates.

Bloomworks Resources

  • New resource pack that retextures Sophisticated Backpacks and Sophisticated Storage in the pack's style: a trail backpack, keepsake chests and barrels, and journal-card upgrade icons.
  • It replaces the Create Style Sophisticated Backpacks and Storages packs.
  • Bloomworks draws the matching chests, shulker boxes and the Sophisticated Storage in Motion carts, boats and pack animals.

Bloomworks (BW Helper) 0.2.4 → 0.2.6

The pack's own helper mod, shown in game as Bloomworks.

Animations

  • Supports Punchy 3.1, including first-person hands with Artifacts installed. Spell casts end on your hands, both hands grip the glider, and the Supplementaries holds work again.
  • One-handed Iron's Spells casts no longer freeze your other arm. It keeps swinging as you walk.
  • Your cape no longer stays stuck in the air after you put a glider away while moving.
  • A glider worn in the chest armour slot now shows while gliding, even with Cosmetic Armor items equipped.
  • Capes are hidden while you wear a Sophisticated Backpack, including Essential's capes. This covers the chest slot, Curios and Accessories.

Opening chests

  • Touch'n Motion's chest animations now play smoothly with Punchy! Moves: you reach in with both hands up close, or lean in and grab the rim from further away.
  • Fixed an arm flinging out sideways and hanging in the air when you open a chest.
  • Fixed your arms freezing for a moment after you right-click a chest.
  • Your body no longer snaps back when you close a chest or walk away from one. The lean eases in and out instead.
  • The reach only plays when you're close enough to the chest.

WATUT

  • WATUT's picture of what you're doing in a chest or other menu now actually shows. It used to be blank.
  • The picture floats over the chest you have open and updates live, with your cursor and items moving. Item tooltips are left out of it.
  • WATUT no longer poses your body while you're in a chest or other menu, so Touch'n Motion's reach and lean are left alone.
  • WATUT still shows you looking into your inventory, your arms while you type in chat, and your head drooping when you're away. These now blend with Punchy! Moves instead of fighting it.

Gloves and worn items

  • Gloves and claws worn in the journal's first hand slot now go on your left hand. This covers Artifacts, Reliquified Artifacts and Cataclysm.
  • Gloves worn through Curios now show in first person.
  • Worn items no longer flatten your 3D Skin Layers sleeves.

Backpacks and storage

  • Fixed the black or frozen window caused by the backpack resource pack.
  • Looking at a placed backpack no longer causes lag, and startup is no longer slowed by building backpack shapes.
  • The placed backpack's outline is simpler.

Journal and screens

  • Clicking a journal bookmark no longer throws the item on your cursor.
  • Iron Furnaces' side tabs and the Oven's tool rail now match the backpack's stitched side tabs, and the Oven's tool slots no longer run into its border.
  • Jade's item counts are now easy to read on the journal theme.

Resource packs

  • The pack's resource packs are re-applied in the right order every launch, so a pack renamed by an update is never left switched off.
