Description
Welcome to Blocks & Brains!
This is my personal passion project, and something I’ve been wanting to develop for well over a year now, I’ve never released a project for the general public to use before, and this pack is still very experimental so please keep that in mind whilst you explore this abandoned wasteland.
The in-game time can be tied to your system time! So you better be careful when you choose to log on! Prepare well the day before, ensuring your survival overnight. [To achieve this feature go into the config of the time control mod]
Blocks and Brains is a large pack, containing over 300 mods. Thirst, temperature, locational damage and food spoilage all become incredibly important, and managing them is now key to your survival!
What about the Zombie themselves? Well, a combination of Epic siege, Mob Spider Climb, ExtinctionZ, and Sound attract zombies will now HUNT you, you are the prey, zombies are unforgiving and nothing like vanilla.
Technology spans multiple mods- create, immersive engineering, immersive geology and Electrodynamics, all there for you to use in your adventure.
If you are looking for a gritty experience, look no further- animal traps, better fire spread, butchery and plenty of security to secure your new camp all create a sort of cramped experience. You feel like your home is all that is separating you from the terrifying outside world, having to venture out and find, skin and eat your hunted food.
On the structures front- you can explore beautiful, abandoned cities, with camps of surviving villagers found in buildings and dangerous mobs spawning everywhere, abandoned campsites scattered across fields and forests, remaining buildings found everywhere. Humans are all but gone and now you get to discover the remains. Explore to your heart’s desire!
Distant horizons, oculus and Snow real magic all contribute to the aesthetic appeal of this pack! Making it more beautiful than you could ever imagine!
Some recommendations before playing- 8 to 10 gigabytes of RAM is needed for smooth experience. If you are struggling with performance, I highly recommend turning off shaders and turning down the settings in the distant horizons config.
When I say this pack is in development- I mean very much so! It is an early build of a pack I hope to really improve in the coming months, and I would appreciate any input, crash log, or advice you’re willing to give! I’ve never made a pack before, and I apologise for any lag, mistake or inconsistency.
