this pack was made for the Alchemist's Lair gaming community on discord-- feel free to make use of it yourself. 

If you join our public server, please make sure to abide the rules. we have a zero-tolerance policy for outsiders causing mischief and will ban in a heartbeat if we suspect you're up to something-- otherwise we're pretty chill for things. only other thing to keep in mind is do not go zooming out into the distance; we only have about 2.5k radius pregen'd and are wanting to keep the world small, encouraging bases to keep in general vicinity of one another.

The pack itself is a kitchen sink with mostly vanilla-related mods. we make heavy use of things like Create and cooking mods to help give a bit of flavor to gameplay-- and for those who just *have* to have their tech mods, we included immersive engineering. 

more than anything we're trying to keep a magical jungle vibe going for the pack and our server. 

A NOTE ABOUT STABILITY: so uh, no way of saying this, but 1.18.1 is massively buggy. crashes will happen from time to time. usually its UI bugs. I have no idea if the devs will patch these issues-- most people are going to be chasing the dragon for 1.18.2 and I imagine most stability fixes will be abandoned for this version. for now just bare with and if you get a random crash, just reboot the modpack and things should be fine. fingers crossed folks actually fix their stuff and I can remove this boilerplate.
