Performance Optimization
The modpack may need some optimisation to run as good as possible. Some optimisation tips are below:
- Increase RAM allocation
I recommend it to be 4-5GB. On MultiMC, you can do this through Edit Instance > Settings > Checking "Memory" and changing the maximum allocation to 4000-5000MiB. On CurseForge, this is done through the JVM arguments as per normal minecraft.
- Decrease Render Distance
It's pretty high by default, setting it down to 8-10 is probably sufficient.
- Disable VSync
Disabling vsync and setting the max frame rate to ~120/unlimited can increase performance on some machines, particularly if you fluctuate between 60fps and lower.
- Disable Fancy Graphics
Client-Side Mods
Below are a list of the mods which you can disable with no impact on gameplay. While it probably won't, you could see some performance benefit to removing them.
BetterF3 - Improved F3 Screen
Controlling for Fabric - Searchable Keybindings
ToolTipFix - Stops tooltips running off the screen
ShulkerBoxTooltips - Shows a tooltip of what is in shulker boxes instead of a block of text
Logical Zoom - Optifine Zoom for Fabric
Dark Loading Screen - Makes the loading screen look nicer
Advancement Enlarger - Makes the advancement menu take up the entire screen
WTHIT - WAILA - the block info tooltips
Lithium (Would not recommend - is performance mod)
Hydrogen (Would not recommend - is performance mod)
Iris Shaders (Would not recommend - includes sodium, a performance mod)
Atmosfera - Adds a complex sound engine to minecraft. Could save a lot of performance by removing.
Xaero's World Map - World Map in Minecraft
AppleSkin - Shows saturation on your Hunger Bar and on Food
