Ashlands

Ashlands is a long-term Minecraft modpack project focused on building a true post-apocalyptic survival experience.

What started as a modded Minecraft experience is evolving into something much bigger. Rather than simply combining mods and adjusting configurations, the goal is to create a carefully designed world, a meaningful progression system, and an interconnected survival experience that feels like a complete project of its own.

Ashlands is not abandoned. It is being reimagined.

A New Vision

After a long period of experimentation, development, and reflection, the future of Ashlands has become much clearer.

The project is entering a new development phase, with a much greater focus on quality, coherence, atmosphere, and depth.

The ambition is no longer simply to create another post-apocalyptic modpack, but to build something genuinely distinctive.

Every system, mechanic, and feature should have a purpose and contribute to the overall experience.

Development Status

Major redevelopment — No public release currently available

Ashlands is undergoing a major redevelopment.

Following a period of experimentation and reflection, development has been significantly slowed down to allow the project to be rebuilt properly.

The next public release will be a complete, playable experience rather than another experimental development version.

This means:

• All previous development versions will be archived and will no longer be publicly available.

• No intermediate development releases are planned.

• The next release will feature a significantly different experience from previous versions.

• Development is expected to take approximately 1–2 years.

This is not the end of Ashlands. It is the beginning of a much bigger project.

Quality takes time, and Ashlands will take the time it needs.
